When I got the idea of traveling the entire length of the Ohio River, along the Indiana shore, I had no idea that places like this existed. Lawrenceburg, Madison and Jeffersonville were fairly large, but most towns were extremely small as I went west. Newburgh was certainly a surprise!

I only went to Newburgh twice when I lived in Tennyson with my dad. I loved it. It still looks so beautiful. I miss Indiana. Great video.

I made a goal of filming every town along the Indiana border of the Ohio River. When I came to Newburgh I was pleasantly surprised by their massive walking trail and waterfront. I came back three times to get the right sky / sunlight.

Cannelton isn’t as pretty, but also has many surprises! Historic cotton factory that looks like something out of Europe, Eagles Nest Overlook of the dam and locks, Rocky Point marina, Worlds largest Celtic cross carved from a single piece of limestone, Lafayette Spring, Superfoot lighthouse, Electra memorial. It’s all east of Newburgh and Tell City on 66!

Thank-you, John! Working on a huge segment about Harrison County: it’s taking longer than I ever imagined! But, I have been filming it for well over 3 years, trying to get the very best lighting.

My family is from Posey county, about a 30 minute drive to Newburgh, I built the Rails that went to some part of the River front in 2000

I love the Newburgh riverfront. I found it by accident, just by trying to cling to the roads, nearest to the Ohio River. “Why does no one talk about this beautiful place? Why isn’t it on guides and advertisements made by the state?” It was like finding a secret oasis!

Great video! Is Newburgh more or less a suburb of Evansville?
@AdventureswithRoger3 жыл бұрын
Newburgh is just minutes east of Evansville. I hear that many live at Newburgh and work at Evansville. It gets you away from the big city, but not too far from civilization. Lots of people go to Newburgh just to walk on a sunny day, and I realized why on my first trip. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, with the well maintained waterfront trail, iron fences and well manicured lawns. You can tell there’s some money at Newburgh! The view of the sunset is insanely great!

Newburgh is packed with people. It's overgrowing. Several schools and hundreds of subdivisions and huge houses. Several hospitals so all the doctors and more wealthier families are around Newburgh

Smallville actor....yeah, right, never watched one episode. How about "Impastor", though, Michael Rossenbaum was the "Baum", I'm telling you. Extraordinary show it was, but only 2 seasons a show gets when most people didn't get it. You had to have some basic education on the denominations involved, you know, to get the dam jokes. Just saying, it didn't get watched like Smallville in #'s, but Impastor was pure all-time comic genius stuff for TV.
