piece of Omaha history is up for sale in the Deer Park neighborhood. Built in 1891, what used to be the old fire station number three is now a one bedroom home.

They bought it for 40k. Surely they spent $ on renovations, but it’s not worth over $120k. And the neighborhood is VERY BAD. Super high crime thug area. After a few years of listing with no buyers, the couple took it off the market. I’m so very pleased they saved such an important relic! Mark seems awesome & he’s obviously skilled. Perhaps home owners should hire him to save what’s left of the Kountze Park houses. _btw, they should’ve left the fire pole_

My wife and I looked into buying this house when it came up for sale. After a showing, my wife asked me what I thought. I told her that I thought this building should be condemned. There’s serious metal fatigue in all the load-bearing members, the wiring is substandard, it’s completely inadequate for our power needs, and the neighborhood is like a demilitarized zone.

That fire house should be an active fire station again that station can fit a engine inside a large ladder truck wouldn’t fit inside it would only fit as an engine company with only one fire truck of any kind

@Skoda1303 жыл бұрын
@@rowan312 It might be due to the updraft, and the los of heat in the living space.
