One of the most beautiful buildings transformed into a gorgeous home. I’m so glad this video was made! ✊🏾

This is how you bring an old building to life without erasing its old life. The way they celebrate the rough edges, the imperfections, the worn textures of everything is just so very, very good.

Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.

How awesome is that! So jealous of that space, amenity and honesty of the factory aesthetic. Well done 👍

I love the building and that community event seemed idyllic. Especially now, seeing those people all together smiling and chatting actually brought a wee tear to my eye. Here in Edinburgh, we've been under lockdown for more than a year and as I live alone and all gatherings are banned I have been completely alone throughout it all. Life before the pandemic seems like a dream now.

Same. I worked on an abandoned pigeon coop and turned it into a little hang out. Not the best but it works.

I turned a former shop with a home above it into one large house. I found it was best to do all the structural, plumbing and electricity in one go. Once all that is done you can do decorating and other jobs as and when. But I've known people that didn't do those basics and you will always be having old pipes burst and electrics in the walls having issues etc and having to destroy what you've already done. The other best advice I can give you is to think about how much you earn doing your normal job and how much a professional will change to say restore a sash window. It can be a false economy to take time from your own business to try and restore something learning as you go when you can just pay a professional to do it and earn what he charges five times over just by doing your normal job for the same amount of hours. I learned that the hard way doing everything myself. Just some advice.

People arent concerned about like, lead and chemicals in the air and surfaces with these old buildings lol? Id be running a air filter 24/7 in this place. Even if they replaced the insulation and walls id still be worried. But nice house! lol
