As much as I have enjoyed this game over time, Rock* basically focused on the PvP and visuals side of the game for entertainment purposes. But yes, if they would have taken the time and did as much research as you and other American/Intercontinental historians have done and implemented those historically accurate facts to this game as well as added Canada and Mexico and other countries/bodies of land (by boat or swimming) such as some cool things with the Norsemen and Spanish conquest to the map for "exploring" and "getting the hell out of America because we're outlaws and want to flee the country to escape pursecution". It would have been so great. I do firmly hope that once Rock* is done with GTA6, they get back to RDR2. But excellent video!

You should take in account that money in the game has different worth from money at that time (which would be a historical inaccuracy in itself but whatya gonna do) and that the prices differ in story mode. But if the equipment costs more but you also get payed more for the goods you sell, the exchange-rate stays pretty much the same besides the numbers being higher. Hope you get what I'm pointing at. @@okoatsoda I found it on Ebay, being sold by a small antique shop in Michigan. I did some digging around before buying just to be sure that it was not some scam or anything. The only thing I think they slacked on was having Steelhead and Sockeye down in what's supposed to be a Louisiana like biome. But, what can you do. They really get so much right that I can forgive Rainbow trout and Sockeye Salmon being in a water that is most likely far too warm for them. And if you're living in Colorado, you better be fly fishing for trout. Leave the gear home and fish like a gentleman.
@ManvsHistory4 жыл бұрын
Ha! 'Leave the gear home and fish like a gentleman', I love it. I spent a lot of time fly fishing for trout in Colorado- even used to teach fly fishing up in the mountains during college summers. Don't hate me, but I actually fish pike, and walleye now almost exclusively. Most people aren't aware the Colorado has some great fishing for both. My cousin and I try to make it out once a week. Sometimes we catch bass as well, but that's often an accident.

@@ManvsHistory Oh I was just joking anyway x) I grew up traditional fishing and tried fly fishing about 6 years ago and just fell in love with it. I love it so much I don't do any other fishing but sometimes I miss throwing lures for largemouth and smallies. I think as time goes on I'll eventually go back to using my spin tackle once in a while. Also, the truth is no matter what some might say there are some things you just can't do fly fishing. Like good luck going more than 10 feet deep without a totally dedicated rig. And I can believe there's some great pike and walleye fishing out there. If I had a boat I'd try my hand at fly fishing for pike and muskie here in Pennsylvania, and walleye take a fly pretty readily if you can get it to them! Lol I just wanted to make a snarky comment is all, love your videos on RDR they're great.

Love your videos but why so much emphasis on the price inflation from actual to game? It’s pretty clear that the game has higher prices/pays more than the actual period for everything. So why make it such a big part of every video? More focus on the features and locations would be interesting to me. Keep the content coming though. Love how much research you do.
@ManvsHistory3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Noah. Personally, I think the prices are interesting, which is why I like to focus on them. Not everything is inflated. Some things R* actually gets right. They even pay us too much for certain items. It's especially useful in the fur prices video, as it helps explain why certain pelts (silver fox, beaver, buffalo, etc) made those animals sought after, while other species (cougars, etc) were effectively ignored.
