I started watching this guy a month ago. I'm not subscribed to him but seen a number of his videos. The titles get my attention when it's a rdr2 video but he says a bunch of stuff that is unimportant at the beginning and sometimes at the end to get to the 10 minute mark and get a payday which there is nothing wrong with that but he does take forever in talking about the important thing of the video and the reason why ppl click on his video.

i know this is an old comment but i do recall jeremy wade catching a giant goonch catfish in northern india, must've been close to 250lbs. thing is about the game version, that it's just not feasible with Marston standing on the river bank with a bamboo fishing pole given the largest fish caught in the game are about 50 to 60lbs. Imagine the tussle bringing in a 200lb fish - not gonna happen, not even in a video game.

Just for the record, you can definitely catch catfish in the desert. Horseshoe dam in Arizona has some huge catfish swimming around down there. A buddy of mine caught one that was longer than an axe handle.

Figured it out. When you find a man named "Gavin" in a shed that's west of Armando, He'll give you a legendary special bate. Take this bate to the fishing location and you'll catch it rather quickly. Oh and btw it's not even a catfish. It's a abnormally large dinosaur thing. Kinda has the shape of an alligator. I hope I helped a bit 😀

I shit you not. I have a ss of me with a 175lb stirgeon. No catfish, however I have caught a 113lb bullhead catfish but not the legendary one. Theirs also a really small bottom feeder version. Their is that achievement for catching a fish over 100lb. Ironically some legendary fish can be insanely random with spawn. And when it spawns in terms of weight class. I still haven't caught one of those poisoned pond fish over 14 lbs but it's possible.

I have just reach this point and took two pictures of him going off into the water. I do wonder what Author would have done? Try to save him. Playing as John and John can not swim. He just looked on in co confusion and horror. I have yet to catch the fish. I am thinking if maybe viewing the photos might trigger something. I will leave the area also and go back. Also night time is best for this type of fish. Raining also would be good. I fail to understand why this fish option would be a tease. Rockstar would not just show a fish on your map for no reason.

I live in Mesa Az a suburb of Phoenix Az. It doesnt get much more deserty in the southwestern USA then my neck of the desert. And there are 2 lakes (canyon & Saguaro) as well as the salt river within 30min of my house. You can catch fish at all 3 locations. None record breaking by any means but there is certainly lots of catfish around. Lake Powell which is on the border of Az & Utah & was created by damming of the Colorado river which turns part of the Grand Canyon into a giant & super deep lake. I've heard rumors all my life of cat fish around the dam of catfish the size of station wagons. Lake Powell certainly has striper bass 50+ lbs, as well as big large & small mouth bass. So just cause a region is considered a desert doesnt mean their water holes dont have fish in them.

180lb is still only a little cat fish compared to places in Spain, 300lb+ on the rivers over their, however this is still small compared to the world record cat fish caught in Asia weighing 1000Lb, this is actually big enough to swallow a human whole, that's how cat fish eat, they have huge mouths but no teeth just 2 flat hard plates where its teeth would be.

Even if it exists for realism sake (which of course RDR2 is big on) you'd never be able to pull in a 180 pd fish on a basic rod and reel. You'd have to find it close to shore shoot it and lasso it in.

That's not true about not many fish being in the desert there may not be many rivers or lakes but wherever there's water there's usually always fish so as long as there is a big enough mass of water there will be fish even in the desert Lake Mead near the grand canyon has lots of fish

Maybe because people had not hock it because of something's he said something about bacon and they eat it up but I play a few fishing games and one was on the will my dad said used the siver manho one because I used something like that before and I was getting fish left and right in real life and said more it around a bit and to hock them and if it's bites and goes life you go right if it goes right you go left it works really good for big ones that puts up a fight

Ok everyone, this is how you catch it, the bait must be bacon or pork You must fish at night and over cast You must let the line sit for a few hours just like gill did and not touch it , i got the fish to take the bait but it broke loose on me i wa spinning the reel to fast it takes hours of patients and perfect weather

I grew up in Arizona (desert) and it's known for Hugh catfish. Lol the Colorado river has Hugh catfish.

Maybe you have to use some kind of food as a bait....and not that special spinner....cat fish usually like food that stinks...or is rotton.

Use the unique lure at same spot ? Worth a try there is a map up on the mountains thats got a mark at that point in lake but who knows ??

Plot twist. He has never caught a fish. And the only one he caught was the one that killed him. Btw every lake in the desert often has very large catfish.
