Quiero aclarar varios errores. La Provincia Oriental fue parte de las Provincias Unidas del Río de la Plata entre 1810 y 1813, y entre 1825 y 1828. Entre 1813 y 1821 Uruguay fue parte principal de la Liga Federal, que no eran las Provincias Unidas del Río de la Plata sino otras provincias: Banda Oriental, Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Misiones, Misiones Orientales, Santa Fé, y Córdoba. La LIGA FEDERAL es el VERDADERO ORIGEN de la REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA, la República Argentina nació en el actual Uruguay, en Paysandú en 1813, y no al revés como creen los ignorantes. Por esa razón la capital argentina (Buenos Aires) mantiene la designación de CAPITAL FEDERAL.

Siempre hay alguno que dice la misma estupidez, que Uruguay perteneció tres años a Brasil de 1822 a 1825, como si eso tuviera mucha trascendencia, o que perteneció un año a Portugal de 1821 a 1822, como si eso tuviera mucha trascendencia. Pues si quieres saber cosas realmente trascendentes te cuento que Brasil perteneció a Portugal durante 322 años, y Brasil con Portugal pertenecieron a España durante sesenta años (1580 a 1640), y España perteneció a los árabes durante ochocientos años, y Arabia perteneció a Turquía durante cuatrocientos años.

Uruguay never belonged to Brazil or Argentina!!! Part of the area did belonged to the Viceroyalty of Perú which was really dominated by the Spanish crown, not by the actual Peruvians... but none of them (Argentina, Uruguay or even Brazil) existed as countries, then. At that time in history, the Rio de la Plata region was divided by two areas, Buenos Aires and its surroundings; and Montevideo which was governing what was known as "La Banda Oriental" (where all the gauchos -cowboys, were), a vast territory that extended to what today is southern Brazil and parts of northern of the actual Argentina... The rest, going north, what today is Brazil, belonged to the Portuguese crown. AGAIN, all of them dominated by European crowns... more so, the British tried to dominate the area too... During independence fights against the Spaniards in the Rio de la Plata region some of the people living in the Banda Oriental, at that time, decided to stay with Buenos Aires to become Argentina, a country that got its independence by 1810, I think... By 1930, the first Uruguayan president, to end the wars against Brazil, gave them, by a treaty, what today is known as Rio Grande do Sul, or southern Brazil. That is why Uruguay territory is so small. About the national anthems, Argentina, wrote theirs by 1813 , but Brazilians kept changing their lyrics until 1909, while Uruguay wrote the lyrics of their anthem, by 1833 and the music by 1848, because Uruguay became independent from Spain by 1825 but their total and official independence wasn´t until 1830 when the constitution was written. So your video is pretty INACCURATE!!! I understand that some alien believe that Uruguay belongs to Argentina or Brazil, because many people from those countries, to show off, say that Uruguay belonged to them at certain point in history... which is a HUGE LIE... They wish... Imagine that!! 245 million of people (Brasil and Argentina together) against 3.5 millions... what voices do you think are going to be heard??? For example, despite that Argentina has a lot of land by the sea/ocean they do not have great beaches (except for one, that most of their rich people do not really like or visit it). Nevertheless, Uruguay has one beach in particular (among many others) called Punta del Este, that the Argentinean jet set, LOVE!!! So in Punta there are a lot of Argentinean investments such as buildings, restaurants, stores, etc... Consequently, many Argentinean to show off, or as a joke, say that Punta del Este belongs to their country... And tourist people believe it... I can´t blame them... For instance, not long ago, I saw an interview where the reporter asked Donald Trump´s son (who is building a tower in Punta del Este), asking him: Do you like it in here? (referring to Punta) When I heard his reply I almost fainted, because he answered, YES, I LOVE ARGENTINA!!! Sorry for such a long explanation.

In 1542 the vicerroyalty of Perú was way larger than modern day peruvian republic It ruled modern day Perú,bolivia,argentina & Uruguay Then in 1776 the vicerroyalty of rio de la plata (modern day argentina) was created The banda Oriental was part of both vicerrroyalties There was no state un banda Oriental until 1814 Were the eastern province was created ,but this wasn't a country ,it was a province of the united provinces Uruguay didn't got independence until 1828 So yes Uruguay belonged to both argentina & Brazil
