Beach hunting can definitely be a daunting task. One beach could be great one day then horrible the next when the waves are like this. Those brown coins are definitely a good sign though! I live up the coast a few hours and I'm hoping for more big waves in the near future. Got lucky today and pulled two gold rings as my first good finds of the year, but i know the sand is quickly moving back in so i doubt I'll find anymore anytime soon. Good luck hunting! -a fellow trash panda

That drivers license and draft card are pretty out there. Sharp park is up in Pacifica and he must have moved to Oregon way later. Pretty crazy it's been in the ocean for so long and survived mostly intact!

@@TSiriusz yeah, you could tell the DL had just been damaged recently because the paper inside wasn’t too damaged. Probably just as it started gets tossed into the sand during this storm. Some sleuths on Facebook found he moved around a lot. Awesome find for sure.

@ It’s a nickel hound! I have more V, Buffalo, and war nickels(at least triple) this year than previous year when I was using ATpro and Nokta Legend. Where are you located? Is it an old town? Permissions are my favorite because you can settle in and take your time without Karen/kevin coming along and yelling at you.

rip sc wharf indeed. The beach next to it was littered in debris from it.

@@TSiriusz you say debris, I say souvenir! I’d have pieces of it listed on EBay if I lived close. Awesome place. Went there on my honeymoon trip and went back with all three kids last year.

@@TrashPandaMetalDetecting Bro the beach was literally scattered with huge planks of wood or metal that you'd need to cut pieces off of to transport. There were some people bringing their power tools to deconstruct the debris, and I even saw some people lugging a huge piece of lumber out of the beach. It would be too much of a hassle to sell this junk on Ebay imo.

@@TSiriusz probably right. Would be cool though to have a plank to make a bench for your yard.
