I wish more people would know about your channel. Your videos are the most comprehensive and easier to learn videos on biblical history. They are helpful for visualizing the past within the geographical and topographical context of today. I have an M.Div degree from one of the most reputable theological schools in America and part of that was done in Jerusalem. I say thay to say I've learned more from your videos then I had while sitting in classes or while on-site studying in Jerusalem. Of course being onsite is a better experience but these videos are gold when it comes to helping us visualize the the old Jerusalem.

@@marshaharvey3823marsha, there is great doubt that the crucifixion took place where the Church of the Sepulchre is today. We are not to do idol worship, which is perhaps one reason God has never revealed the exact place for us.

Dear Pastor: There is a minor error in your history narrative. 41:01 : Muslim took Jerusalem @ 1291 A.D. -->The Crusader was completely eradicated by Muslim from Levant @ this year (The fall of Acre). -->The Jerusalem was re-captured by Muslim (Saradin) after battle of Hardin as early as 1187. But it's nothing compared with your vivid pictorial animation and in-depth research/description. I fell like I was still in Jerusalem and enjoy walking tour in person under sunshine. I paid visit to Jerusalem this summer--what a spectacle yet sacred city is ! May god save his people and calm down situation so that Jerusalem is open to everyone again.

Actually, reading Norma Robertson’s comments on the bridge to the mount of olives, the red heifer sacrifice and how it relates to Jesus, the true location and meaning of the word Golgotha, the biblical passage that has a reference to distance and location of a certain site and the soldier mentioning he saw the veil torn, all point to the crucifixion site to be on the mount of olives just east of the temple, which, by the way, was on the southern part of the platform, directly in line with the double eastern gate, the bridge, and the crucifixion site. The tomb is somewhere close to Golgotha, somewhere on the mount of olives, maybe toward the bottom, close the kidron.

Golgotha the place of the skull 💀 was where David buried the skull 💀 of Goliath after beheading him. Fulfilling the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman; and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his hell” This was fulfilled in Christ being crucified at the same spot. Goliath being an offspring of Satan’s lineage.

Reminds me of an old Baptist preacher, who was baptizing down by the river, when he saw a bystander and yelled over at him come on down and meet Jesus. The young man walked down. The old boy grabbed him, thrust him under the water, and when he brought him back up, asked him did you see Jesus? After several other dunkings, the young man was a little confused and asked are you sure this is where he went down? People are always looking for Jesus in the wrong place. As a couple of angels explained, why are you looking for the living amongst the dead? It’s also written that you must first be born again before you can see the kingdom of God! And another place: examining yourselves as to whether you’re in the faith. test yourselves. do you not know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you? There you go. This is a Freebe, it didn’t cost a dime.Freely you have received. freely give.

If the 200 year garden tomb wasn't the right one what is it for then?
@ajlancaster731611 ай бұрын
Having been to both, I lean to the Garden Tomb as the burial site for Christ. The Church of the Sepulcher has much symbolism within, and the atmosphere is chaotic. The Garden Tomb, on the other hand, is peaceful and welcoming. Either way, Jesus did come, He did die, He did rise again, He did ascend to heaven, and He is coming back!

We only have “eye witness accounts” of the place where Helena said that the tomb was because those people were simply parroting Helena’s declarations. She was a Roman mystic who told people where these sites were with her supposed telepathic powers. It was hundreds of years since the resurrection when Constantine’s “mystic” mother came to Jerusalem. No one in Jerusalem at that time was alive at the time of Christ. The holy sites had been destroyed hundreds of years before. The locals had no idea. The Christians had left Jerusalem before the its destruction. She “found” many of the traditional holy sites by divination. Even the Catholic Church calls her a “mystic” because she supposedly had visions and could know the future. The Roman church deemed Helena and her son to be “saints” despite the fact that they were never true believers. Constantine and his mother affirmed Christianity in order to gain the favor of the people; not because they were believers. It was through Constantine that many Romans entered into the “church” bringing their pagan practices such as veneration of the dead and the building of large temples. That is a Roman practice. Even the Jews only had one temple, God’s temple, and it was not a huge monument as the temples that the Romans made were. Your translators and historians simply witnessed what Helena deemed to be true. When they excavated under the temple of Jupiter they found a graveyard. The Bible does not say that Christ was buried in a graveyard. His body was placed in a newly cut tomb that was in a garden. There is absolutely no trace of a garden being in that area. There were many small carved tombs where the church of the Holy Sepulcher is today. Sorry but it would not have taken an earthquake to roll away the stone that you show. The kind of tombs that are at that church were very small tombs that barely fit a body into them. Nothing that a “rich man” would be buried in. You say that the actual tomb is different now because it was destroyed by the Romans and the other people that had been there but that is ridiculous. There is no evidence of that. Jerome and the others that write these things followed Helena. They were part of the following that Constantine had at the time. The Roman Catholic Church has a very revisionist view of history.

I'm confused. I was at Golgotha (the skull) which was across the kidron Valley (East of Jerusalem) where Jesus was crucified. Yet, you say Jesus was crucified at the spot of where the Church of the Holy Sepulchre now stands. Obviously millions of people agree with you. I saw Golgotha and it looks exactly like a skull which is confirmed by the Bible. So which is it. Was he crucified at the Church spot or across the Kidron Valley next to Gethsemane?

Want to know when Millennium begins? Combine these three verses and you will see the year. Luke 21:24 (the end of gentile rule in Jerusalem, June 6th, 1967). Luke 21:32 (the final generation in which all is finished, began 1967). Psalm 90:10 (the length of the generation, 70 years). (Remember in 1948 Jerusalem was ruled by gentiles). Prophecy by Lord Jesus Christ and His servant, Moses.

Thank you for taking me there. Excellent video 💯👏 but to take note I don't think the Golgotha is on Holy Sepulchre. There are other evidences too that point to Garden Tomb as Golgotha which I think it's the right one but I don't mind if it's either way around. To say that Holy Sepulchre has 2000 years of history and Garden Tomb has 200 yr history so it's clearly the Holy Sepulchre the real Golgotha but to counter that. Look at the example of Mt. Sinai that is in Egypt even the mother of Constantine built a church there and it has thousand years of history of tradition but it is the wrong Sinai. Clearly Mt. Sinai is in Arabia and not in Egypt which is the early christians has the thousand years of tradition that it is in Egypt which they got it wrong so if it has thousands of years of tradition it doesn't mean it's the right location which I believe it is also the case of Holy Sepulchre.
