A very informative and entertaining post ... well-done! I grew up near the path and attended summer camp with the First United Church of White Rock way back in the 60"s. I have fond memories of endlessly exploring that strip of beach between Crescent and the White Rock Pier. Thank you.

One of our sebior neighbours who grew up here told us it was because it took 1001 steps out on low tides for fishermen to get to traps?

Just moved from bc to Alberta but me and my girlfriend lived down there and used to walk down all the time and sit by the tunnel
