This is the one I've been waiting for. Thanks for doing this. It's a shame that the Egyptian Museum in Cairo lists all of the kings and dynasties above the entrance except the 25th Nubian reign, which I find odd since the Nubians did so much to restore Egyptian culture, religion and art that was changed by the Libyan rulers.

I would say you gave a fair and balance view of Nubia and its relation to Egypt compared to many historians I see on Yoytube. My one contention is we now know Egypt was originally populated from peoples who came from what became Nubia . It is also important to remember the stelas of Kings are from their perspective, it is propaganda and may not necessarily be true particularly in the case of Sargon 1 and 2 he tends to pontificate . I thought overall it was well done . One last point Sudan particularly S Sudan has never been excavated like Egypt has do to war , turmoil etc etc and according to many archeologist there is priceless information regarding ancient Nubia and Egypt.Again well done and thank you

Overall he did a great job considering all of the propaganda surrounding the 25th Dynasty. I did have a few points of contention with the idea that the cultural exchange was one sided. Nubians and Egyptians shared many gods and syncretism of Nubian and Egyptian Gods was common. Egypt also adopted gods from Nubia and Punt. I wish he would have gone into more detail on the shared origins and lineage of the ancient Egyptians and Nubians. But that would be a whole other episode that would have to go into the genetic studies: which is not really his focus. Unfortunately you are correct in that academics have not properly excavated Nubia and Egypt even flooded some of their greatest temples and burial sites, some of which dated back to 3800 BCE.
@knowthyselfinstitute2 ай бұрын
@@HistorywithCy That would be my only critique is that you didn't read enough of the Kushite's account. The Dream Stele had some really awesome accounts as well as the Shabaka Stone. you touched on it but there is so much more important information. Some great Bible and Torah strictures as well on Taharqa's victory over the Assyrians at Lachish. Great job tho. Love all your work. Thank you.

Amorite wall protected mesopotamia from the amorites, the walls built by alexander the great and iranian empires to protect from the caucuses (great wall of gorgan), great wall of china, hadrians wall. Also the egyptain forts in nubia, still they all still ruled overcoming the walls and forts. But nubia still brought the best era in egypt a renaissance something we enjoy today by the assyrian records(sack of thebes)and greek records(western civilization origins). If it wasnt for the kushite renaissance there would have been no ashurabanipal library and library of alexandria.
