Although not a masterpiece, I enjoyed it like many others did. As I said, if I escape reality for a couple of hours and the CGI blows me away, I'm good!

In the 70's Aquaman stories, drawn by Jim Aparo, Aquaman caught Manta after he murdered his son, and was about to kill him, when Manta started begging for mercy. Because Aquaman is a hero he spared his life.

I personally love the second origin because only this explain where he grew rage and agony. Although many loyal Aquaman fan may have had questioned this origin story"Are u a minor batman villain?" I say no Where he grown up from is a very important thing, Born from Arkham and Choose to be an Aquaman Foe is a great flow of Black Manta life changing and U can put very much imaginative story in order to bind the bridge between Arkham villains and the fall-side of Atlantic. Making your villain more stronger is not a fault, the new origin binds to Pirate-like, middle-age religion and families conflict--the star war story rewritten, and only foe to Arthur Curry to much! If you say Heroes defeat Villain Trillions of time how can you made people wanna see Superhero movie?

I love Black Manta he is by far my favourite DC villain although I love Deathstroke almost as much. Aquaman is my favourite DC hero and Black Manta has taken so much away from him killing his son and destroying his grave along with killing his dad. The guys giving Reverse Flash a run for his money. His suit is awesome and he is just a badass in general. My obsession with Black Manta started with Young Justice which I don’t remember too much of but Black Manta and Aqualad are vivid in my mind. I need to rewatch those episodes all these years later. The DCEU portrayal is amazing perfectly capturing the character although I wish the movies were a lot darker to really let Black Manta shine. The actor who plays him is perfect and I hope they bring him back for the new DCU. We don’t know if Aquaman is going to play much of a role in the universe but I hope he does and we get to see even more of Black Manta and other Aquaman villains like Siren King Nereus and Deadwater. I wish we got to see the Trench movie as Black Manta was supposed to be the main character of it.

Seeing as the movie still contains Amber Heard, you do have a portion of people that will boycott the movie because her actions that ruined Johnny Depp's career. Then you have the issue of James Gunn's announcement of rebooting the films pissed off a large portion of people. They believe these films do not matter and rightfully so, so there is no point in wasting money going to the theaters to support these films, they will eventually get dumped on to Max and Netflix. The only question that remains is how bad will this film do by comparison of the other DC films that were released post the announcement of the reboot of the DCEU.
