I think you might have got this information from the channels of anti-China organisations, which makes me think that you are not a sensible and intelligent person, you are too easy to be used and deceived, if you want to understand China and its political system, you have to go to China in person to experience all this, under the influence of European and American media, your perception might be wrong, which will make your understanding of China wrong, and you might have been brainwashed by the media.

It all started with China's first emperor - Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng who unified the world and laid the foundation for China's unification for thousands of years to come. When you look at the history of ancient China, you will find that even if there was a split in the Chinese dynasties, it would not last for too many years, there would always be a leader who would try to unify the world, and all the emperors and generals of ancient China took unification of the world as their highest honour.

Why do you keep writing "unify the world?" when taking about ancient China? It was an ancient empire, like countless others. Obviously it's reach didn't even leave east Asia, much less "the world" Are you Chinese? Is this a translation problem?

This is really well done. I've been interested in history and politics my whole life, and I studied it for my undergraduate. As such, I'm aware of 20th century Chinese history and politics, but it's never been my main field of study or interest. So while I knew a lot of the key events and figures you discussed in this video, the detail you went into was really informative. I learned a lot. Excellent work!

Holy shit, I just finished this massive masterpiece and wanna give you your credit Jabzy. Not a lot of history channels have the will to go this far deep into the internal politics, workings and history of a country that's so often villainized and discarded by Western media because it's easier to just say "Well they all suck anyways so who cares?" when they could just make their 200th Nazi Germany video, but actually showing how a country became the way it is, something which imo is extremely unique when compared to anywhere else in the world, is what history is all about. This may not get a massive amount of attention because it is a 3.5 hour video about the history of modern China with out any deceptive fillers but hats off to you mate for doing this for the history buffs out there.

2:37:57, around this time, I hear something that makes me spontaneously blast out a laugh and scare my reating cat. I went back to listen again, and I am disappointed now that the word is actually "dues" and not dudes. Omg, I suggest highly that in future videos, at one spot in the script and only 1 to maintain the professionalism of the script, that one hilarious word is inserted somewhwre. Let us who know what's up listen intently through nearly 3 hours to find the hilarious part. Please do this because your voice and script like I said are super professional. Hear me out: So the contrast of that strict atmosphere with a colloquially silly phrase, like "pander to foreign dudes" could surprise and delight us weirdos. 😂

Amazing video on a topic that i know very little about! One thing i find fascinating is that in conflict after conflict, many back to back, in which hundreds of thousands of chinese lives were lost, chinese culture pushed forward just as aggressively as western nations that haven't suffered the devastation of constant war. And is postured today with an absolutely massive population.

Such imagination of modern Chinese history since the first Republic was founded rather entertaining to learn how misinformation of facts concerning world history.
Truly impressive, informative even for a Chinese who devoted to his own history. I believe there are 2 things that could also be mentioned in this video. First, Truman imposed an arms embargo in 1946-1947 to ROC, many KMT troop in the field suffered ammunition shortage. Second, aside from Uyghur's connections with foreign terrorist groups, more direct reason for CCP to systematicaly persecute Uyghurs is a series of terrorist attacks represented by July 2009 Ürümqi riots and 2014 Kunming attack, both events are indiscriminately targeted civilians.
CCP systematically persecute Uyghurs? Man in 2024 someone who claims himself chinese still not aware of the fake xinjiang lies... You can read more on this and distinguish between the terrorists and Uyghurs (if you know chinese you should be able to find multiple Uyghur youtubers telling you what's going on in xinjiang).
