As a pakistani, I highly think of Chinese technology as many of their designs are in service with our military today. from old type 59s to the newest VT-4 (not VT-4A1). They have impressed and inspired us. and therefore now grinding the Chinese tree. third favorite only behind russia and japan

After 1969, the Sino-Soviet border conflict, and the capture of T-62, the 617th Plant developed the second prototype, type 69-I (WZG121), which was armed with a 100 mm rifled gun instead. After checking back my old premiums, i found thst IS6 at BR 7.7 is so dumb ffs, slow turret, poor gun handling, 16s reload. Hell you can't even kill a King Tiger frontally at point blank range without aiming for turret cheek yet it forever remains at 6.7 (9yo german mains rants always win). Now imagine with IS6 facing Chieftain mk3 and mk5, M60 (base, A1, RISE), not to mention bunch of speedy light vehicles with stabilized apds/heat/apfsds. Dev, do you even play your game after changed the BR? I challenge you to 1v1 with you in IS6 and let me use a King Tiger/T34/T29 which is just BR 6.7/7.0 vehicle. What a pathetic balancing.

Not really, China ended collab with the ruskys in the 1960s, they almost went to war. So in the 1980s and 90s western companies sold everything to Chine, patents, designs, production rights. The Type 80s were experimental models in which China made larger hills based on the Type 59 and filled them with western tech. Those would be the base for the 90s series, with revised armor after the Iran-Iraq war and the Soviet collapse. China could get their hands in vast amounts of technical data, real life combat and bought everything from the Ukrainians. They were also buying and licensing Austrian, Israeli, French, Italian and even British technologies. Some of them were licensed and directly put in the earlier models but after the 90s the US pressured to blockade China so they developed their own system over all the experience they gained from western tech transfer, Ukrainian engineering data, middle east wars info and even captured tech, and their own experiences.
