*************
Philosopher and economist Karl Marx was known for his theory of #Marxism on which the modern form of communism is based. #Communism can be defined as the thought of economic equality where the concept of private property doesn’t exist. The vision of communism was built by Marx on the technological and human possibilities that were available and visible at his time while also considering the fact that it would be adopted by the new socialist society.

The chapter about Stalin is all wrong. The politicians who confessed their crimes during the 3 Moscow trials were sentenced to death. The ones who didn't confess were sentenced to prison or liberated. Also Stalin didn't organise the gulags. They existed long before Stalin became the prime minister in May of 1941. Stalin was only the member of Politburo and secretary of the communist party. But Stalin was the most popular politican in the world and the Soviet Union. He was nominated for the Nobel peace award and proclaimed the man of the year by the magazine Time in 1939 or 1940.

Communism is only a Philosophical (and Economic), Theory, framed within UTOPIA. U have heard of Communism, but you DO NOT know what Communism is. You don't know the good Communism has done to the US people. To understand it, you should see with careful eyes what Capitalism is. Without the appearance of Communism, you would be living within an entirely Capitalist Gov’t System (I said System, and not Model), and you would not have benefits for work, like these: SRSW (Special Rights of the Specialized Worker); a fair salary, rewards and compensation, health coverage and accidents; Social Security, retirement, paid vacations, 8-hour days, 2-days off. Nursery and maternity... you would have nothing. NO Right to protest and demonstrate, and even less, the Right to Strike. The US has all that and it is thanks to the Theories of Communism. Look here: Communism is an Economic Model, and NOT precisely a Gov’t System. [* Government System, or Political System are: Monarchy; Dictatorship; Theocracy, Republic and Democracy. The Economic Models are: Capitalism, Communism, Socialism (which can also be a Political System), Free Market (which leads to Imperialism or Liberalism), Mixed Economy, and, Centralized Economy. The Government System, GOVERNMENT. The Economic Model, ADMINIST or Manage the resources of a Country]. Well then. Communism is an Economic Model that up to now has NOT been applied anywhere on the planet. Why? Cuz Communism is INAPPLICABLE. Communism is a Utopia impossible to impose. It is a wonderful dream. It is a great Theory but, in reality IT DOES NOT WORK. For you to understand, there is a comparison. Communism is like Christianity. As you should know, Christianity is based on charity, kindness, tolerance, and self-denial. In good thoughts and best deeds but, it is IMPOSSIBLE to achieve that. Nobody is a good Christian. We are envious, violent, cheating, or self-righteous. Nobody turns the other cheek; no one keeps the Ten Commandments. The idea is good, but it is Inapplicable. Well, the same thing happens with Communism. The Theory it is Inapplicable too. Only two countries have declared themselves Communist: The USSR and China. (Now, at this moment, and since the events of Tiananmen Square (1989), China is an Open Economy. But since the Theory of the Communist Economic Model is an Unapplicable Utopia, today neither China nor Russia are Communists. And what was left of Communism? SOCIALISM. Today, Norwegian, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Germany, Austria, France, Luxenburg, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and 33 of the 35 countries of the American Continent are Socialists. The US Democratic Party is Socialist. Even Socialism, due to its scope and application, can be considered a Political System. Socialism, being a Model, can work with the Monarchy, the Dictatorship, or with Democracy. Works well with all Systems, as long as CORRUPTION is eradicated, Communism is a Utopian Theory that cannot be applied in reality. The consequence of the Communist Economic Model is SOCIALISM. What is the difference between Communism and Socialism? (Apart from the fact that one is Inapplicable and the other is not, since Socialism does apply throughout the world). The answer is: PRIVATE PROPERTY. (But NOT PERSONAL PROPERTY). In the Communist Economic Model, the MEANS OF PRODUCTION are in charge of the State. In Socialism, Private Property and ALL the Means of Production (Or almost all), are in the hands of private companies. Norway, for example, has a Mixed Economic Model, but it is SOCIALIST. Where does this information come from? The true fact that in Norway Medical Services, Education, Transport, Social Protection, Funeral Services , Assistance to Vulnerable Sectors, etc. belongs to the State. And there is even more. In Norway, Banking Services are REGULATED by the State. Banks are NOT owned by the State, but the State regulates them cuz it knows very well what the Capitalists are capable of if they are not closely watched. Do you know why André Rieu offers a mega concert every year in Norway? Cuz Culture is in the hands of the State: Zoo, Museums, Theater, Music, Literature, Dance, Plastic Arts, Performing Arts, etc. Everything is paid by the State. Young people under 18 and adults over 60, do not pay anything, it is covered by the State. Norway IS Socialist. And Why is Capitalism mortally opposed to the Theories of Communism? Because Communism exhibits Capitalism in all its ferocity. Cuz it exposes the savagery of their methods. Capitalism puts above all, economic gains. Here it doesn't matter if all the trees in the Amazon jungle are cut down, as long as they make a profit. Here it doesn't matter if the land, the water in the rivers, or the air we breathe is depleted or poisoned, as long as we make a profit. Here it doesn't matter if the worker is exploited, as long as they make a profit. Capital gains are lost by paying the Worker's Rights. That is why Capital seeks workers outside the US. In Asia, in Pakistan, in India, in Latin America. There, where the Unions do not "bother" and the Workers can be Enslaved for $7.80 an hour... Or less.

Actually, if Communism was achieved in its full definition and concept than there would be no money nor state nor class and the Doctor would practice his medicine out of his own desire to contribute that way while the factory worker although not as educated would craft the tools the doctor needs to do his job. A teacher would contribute by passing down knowledge to the doctor or worker so they can carry on and improve it. Farmers would make sure we can all eat, while artists and creators would awe and entertain us. The point is that in Communism the end goal is contributing and creating a better environment for everyone in his/her own way. And nobody thinks everything will be perfect as there are always assholes but that would be another obstacle we would figure out how to bridge together.
@anmolkohli

The doctor would still be highly valued socially for his work, he would just receive the same money(or tokens) as the factory worker. The factory worker probably didn't do the same because he came from a poor family who couldn't afford spending 12 years in education.

Marx was NOT an intellectual. He never owned a business. He lived most of his life living off his benefactor Engels. What a sad man that has caused so much death through his writings. If you read Das Kapital you probably get the approx. 550 page book. But ALL THREE volumes of Das Kapital are just short of 3,000 pages. When was the last time you read the rantings of 3,000 pages of anyone yet alone a man responsible for the death of millions?

An intellectual is a person who engages in critical thinking, research, and reflection about the reality of society, who may also propose solutions for the normative problems of society, and thus gains authority as a public intellectual. - So It seems Marx was the poster boy of an intellectual. The Communist Manifesto is a short pamflet of only a few pages. The Marxist Internet Archive contains thousands of pages by at least one hundred author. Communism is a movement not a new doctrine with its holy priests. It is the history of one class the modern proletariat in its struggle with the other most important class in the modern world the capitalist class of both victories and defeats. Stalin originally trained to be an Orthodox priest.

@kimobrien.
@kimobrien. 5 ай бұрын
It was an error the Manifesto was written and published in 1848. Stalin died in 1953. So he could not intervene in Hungry in 1956. In 1989 the Stalinist monolith in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe imploded. A dictatorship of the corrupt Yeltsin was established and taken over by Putin. The Stalinist had carried out the final betray of socialism the very thing Stalin accused his opponents of doing. Today the communist movement is lead by the Cuban party and those grouped around the Socialist Workers Party, The Militant newspaper and the Pathfinder Press.

John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

There were many different takes on Socialism and Communism but I think Yugoslavia under Josip Broz Tito had the best approach by combining western and eastern systems as well as embracing reforms. Forming the third neutral block was also a good move. Yugoslavia was thrown out of the Comintern and Stalin was ready to invade but the Korean war started and the plans were scraped. Nikita Khrushchev made peace and Tito was the only Communist leader the west did not straight out demonize and actually did business with.

@@VemiX1000 I'm here to learn, as an American seeing our country changing. What is it about this ideology that tends to devolve into mass death and famine? It appears that at it's core it somehow eventually reduces the underclass to animals to be exploited for the few upperclass?
@VemiX1000
@VemiX1000 4 жыл бұрын
@@jobsforjoggerspetit6530 I always appreciate it when people want to have a civil discourse and don't go into full attack mode out of the gate so in that regard I thank you :). I understand the death and famine viewpoint as it is the most common but these are not the soul product of the philosophy and system. Post war countries that have little to no trade with others tend to have rough rebuilding times often including famine. The US after winning the long civil war had famine. Post WW2 and 1 non socialist countries also had famines. As for death yes, it is sad when lunatics take over and commit atrocities on the populace but this as well is not a product of socialism. The Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Cuba etc all had different approaches to it with different results but I digress. Core of Socialism is the idea that there is a collective ownership of the means of production which has the goal of preventing so called class war in the sense where the employer wants more work/product for less investment and the employee wants to work less for more income. There are other parts of Marx's observations but this would be the core. Contrary to what one may be told over and over depending on where they live socialism does not require a one party dictatorship and can work with a democratic system as well. As all ideas it also evolved the same way capitalism did. State ownership of production has taken second place to the idea of worker coops you might hear about from time to time. Socialism can also work side by side with capitalism. I guess it all depends what people think works best for them. For example, my view is that certain critical industry should be state owned such as natural resources, the military, police, certain healthcare aspects, infrastructure, education etc and the state should also be used as a regulatory tool making sure every citizen starts off at the same footing and with equal chance at success. On the other hand commodities such as games, cars, fashion etc should be in the private and coop sectors. The strength of a nation is in its middle class and maintaining good balance between individual/social/cultural aspects of society. Every system both governmental, business and or religious has its ruling elite we expect to improve our lives and when it fails in this task you always end up with an angry underclass as you say. As an outsider I am totally unfamiliar with how socialism and communism is defined and presented to the public in the US and I welcome your comments on that. Sorry for the long comment and if you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my utmost to answer to the extent of my knowledge. I like exchanging viewpoints and I would like to ask you how you feel and see the ongoing situation weather domestic or foreign.

Communism works in theory... but only in theory. We have over a century of the practical application of communism to study and learn from. Communism's greatest weakness is its failure to consider human nature. Humans are naturally selfish as a product of our deep seated survival instinct. Given the opportunity, human beings will naturally prioritize their own welfare and the welfare of their families over the welfare of the greater community. Under capitalism, we see this flaw play out in people like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who amass massive wealth while others in their own communities go without. The same plays out in communism but rather than being entrepreneurs, the elite under communism gravitate toward government and communist party membership. Note that the richest person in Venezuela today is the daughter of Hugo Chavez -- the man who led Venezuela into socialism. Once the people realize the seductive promises of socialism/communism were lies, they turn against it, but the new communist elites resort to force to maintain their new found station in society. It has played out this way time and again in history. Communism is fatally flawed and, much like fire, anyone who plays with it will get burned.

@@buckthorn7084 As a Socialist who believes in the idea of Communism (Just to be fair and upfront with you) I agree with the points you have made. A lot of countries that attempted to achieve Communism (Stateless, money-less, classless and anti private property society in which everyone works how much they can and take how much they need) taught the best way is the "ends justifies the means" approach where the central government took over everything and violently removed all that would oppose it. This and economic mismanagement as well as ignoring problems in hopes they would resolve themselves and not to mention being closed off from the rest of the world inevitably and unsurprisingly lead to the utter collapse of the USSR for example. As for human nature, I also agree when you say that when shit hits the fan a human will always prioritize his own survival, then the survival of his family and closest friend circle etc. The old saying "If you cannot help yourself then how can you help others" rings absolutely true. Be this as it may, it is only in the context when ones existence is threatened. We as humans are both individuals in the sense that we each have our own dreams, goals, wants, desires etc. but are also a social species that value the benefits, security and other elements of being a part of the community brings. The biggest mistake Communists ever made was thinking that we could implement something by force (not really knowing what we were supposed to achieve even looked like in the first place) and our utter failure to realize the conditions and technology simply did not allow for this type of idea to even slightly manifest. Capitalists on the other hand were first to realize that peaceful, willing full, mutually beneficial and most important of all, gradual change is the only way to go and Capitalism as it was in those tense times of the US - Soviet tension proved it by economically liberating its citizens and by guaranteeing them certain rights (sadly eroding in all parts of the world). Today however, Capitalism is making the same mistake the USSR made and is ignoring the problems that were caused by deregulation, outsourcing and other elements they helped create and it doesn't matter what your political view is because nobody can deny the problems that countries are experiencing at the moment. On the other side Socialists were learning from their mistakes and In my view, the best and most stable way to go is a combination of Socialism and Capitalism where the roles of the government as a political tool and the private business sector are clearly defined and neither side may dominate the other. EU and some outside countries have this to varying degrees and it looks promising as opposed to going either full socialism or full capitalism. Apologies for the long post Mr. Mama and I hope you will be interested in continuing this discourse as I am. I appreciate hearing opinions opposed to mine as I believe challenging ones own beliefs to see if they still hold water and changing them if necessary is the only way we can grow together as a species and build a better future for all of us.

The problem with communism is that whenever any new social movement is started it's like a magnet for people who are only in it for themselves. And so in the case of communism as the wheels spin on along well if just the wrong one person comes along it can all too easily become defined just by that one persons individual ambitions to the detriment of all else. Like especially anything on television in the modern era. The gay rights movement had nambla. The womens movement had john lennon. The naturopathic movement had/has apparently David Crosby etcetera. And see the thing is sometimes you just cant deal with those psychopaths. You just have to ignore them because in their minds they think they're the only person alive who matters. So you just have to let them go they're own way and self-destruct. Because they always will. That's why serial killers for example really want to get caught. They go through life wondering how come they're not getting the adulation they deserve. And so as ths years roll on by for them and basically they feel more and more ignored well maybe their sitting in a coffee shop and a police officer walks in. They see with their eyes the respect or at least social recognition the police officer gets and so they want to associate or be associated with the police officers. Basically just like in the movies about serial killers. Surprise surprise right? And so what that is called is that is called narcissistic personality disorder. There's also something called antisocial personality disorder which is almost exactly like narcissistic personality disorder except that the 'payoff' so-to-speak anyway is of more immediate nature. Now theres also something called borderline personality disorder which is where someone just has to be right all the time and cant find a middle-ground about anything with anyone without becoming uncomfortable. Now there's something called the scale of evil. Not neccesarily a bad idea in and if itself but it was made up probably with the input of/or maybe just by the same psychiatrist I think it was anyway who no surprise ended up working in the prisons doing brain-scans of convicted murderers and found the difference in them. So what happened is now the 'scale of evil' has left out borderline personality disorder anx instead its combined narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder with psychopathy and so you have charles Manson's productions for instance and people dyeing their eyeballs red or whatever it is. So that's just how it is...

and so see that's not ruling out the place for healthy competition but in communism there can be no competition because everything is for 'the state' and so all it takes is for the wrong person to take control of 'the state' and you'll just have a bloodbath. Which is exactly what happened...

The success of Stalin - the man who used to boast that he conquered the United States "from the plow to the atomic bomb in just a generation" - compared to Gorbachev's failure shows that a socialist economy is unable to function with a minimum of efficiency without requiring a massive dose of political violence. In an attempt to reform a decadent regime, Gorbachev moved faster with the process of economic opening in the hope of removing the predictable resistance that the Soviet bureaucracy would create to economic reform measures, as thorough proof with the failed attempt. coup d'état in August 1991 - which ended up precipitating the final crisis of socialism and the dissolution of the USSR itself Its Chinese parallel - Deng Xiaoping - adopted a logic diametrically opposed to that of Gorbachev: it prioritized the achievement of economic prosperity (adopting in practice capitalism) precisely to delay any attempt at political opening, as was evident with the acceleration of the economy. reforms after the Tiananmen Square massacre. It is important to note that it was Karl Marx himself who, in his Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy, discerned the scenario in which the conditions for a social revolution process are formed, describing it as follows: “At a certain stage in its development, the material productive forces of society contradict existing production relations or - which is only their legal expression - with the property relations in which they have been active until then. From the forms of development of the productive forces, these relations are transformed into fetters of them. So, it is a time of social revolution. ' * By rejecting the pursuit of profit maximization as an instrument to stimulate innovation, socialist countries ended up condemning themselves to obsolescence. Thus, they lost the chance to incorporate the productivity gains made possible by technological progress. That is why the capitalist countries managed to provide a greater rise in the standard of living of their population, even without pursuing the egalitarian ideal. Therefore, until the “final crisis of socialism” (to paraphrase K. Marx's own definitions once again), it was only a matter of time. But religious fanatics do not give up on their faith, even against the indisputable proof of the facts, which completely refute it! * Reproduced according to MARX, K. Preface to the Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy, organized by Florestan Fernandes and published under the title K. THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO is an outstanding explanation of the despicable degeneracy of the hearts and minds that has infected generations of our nations youth! This diabolically hypocritical ideology has not only failed in every system it has encountered to “revolutionize”, it considers the HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of innocent WORKING CLASS people that have died as a result of its draconian dogmas to be expendable statistics, to be ignored as mere oversights of a Progressive Utopia. How can I prove this? Why by reading this cacophony of lies, of course, and applying it to reality. What has always confused me is how a) the Communists consistently and unceasingly claim to defend the “working class” of the world, and yet, are fundamentally opposed to both “working” and “class”; and b) wish to abolish all forms of property by literally turning all citizens into property of the State. .....smh. The Commies also conveniently forget that the hardest “working class” is in fact the MIDDLE CLASS, the bourgeois, whom they despise to the utmost. This tells the unbiased reader that their passionate striving for “equality” is merely an act of schoolyard jealousy. They convince themselves they are the “have-not’s” when in reality, they are simply the lazy and childish “will-not’s” They threaten the “ruling class” (pg 55) when all they really only want to BE the “ruling class” (pg 36). The Commies claim to hate a Centralised government where wealth in concentrated to the few, but in fact, they tout a Centralized State controlled form of “Credit, Money, Labour, Communication, Transport, Inheritances, and of course Property” all augmented by a “heavy income tax”. (pg 35,36). So who decides where and how all this Wealth is distributed? The few, of course. Commies decry the family, and home education, (pg 29) which has only proven to benefit civilized society; and would prefer your children be property of the State, which has proven to be mentally and physically destructive to children, who are raised without a solid family, and who are many times being forced into child trafficking. Senator Nancy Schafer was murdered whilst exposing this. Woe to you, hypocrites. No wonder Jesus Christ despised you so much. I recommend this book to everyone! For half of us, it explains everything wrong with Society, and the other half, it defines us.

How do the workers own anything? They take out a collective loan?
@salvadorvizcarra769
@salvadorvizcarra769 Ай бұрын
Propaganda. It is a Myth widely used in Western Propaganda (USA), to say that in the Communist State the worker does not own anything. That is False. All citizens are owners of their Personal Property, but not of Strategic Private Property. What are these?: Agriculture and Livestock; the Food Industry; the Electrical Industry; the Hydraulic Resources of the Nation; Industrial Production Means of Blast Furnaces; Goods and Services, Oil Extraction, etc.

What better way and time could possibly be better than today, 9/5/21, when everyone, even every rich capitalists, are being forced by circumstances to see that capitalism is evil oppression, and that it should not exist, and never should have, because today all the money is so obscenely and grotesquely being given to a few hundred rich people, leaving billions to starve to death! And because literally ALL WORK can be, and is being, eliminated by AUTOMATION! Those 2 things will destroy oppressive capitalism! I love it! And I can say it in 5 short lines! And the whole world can see it on computers!
