Something I’d be interested in is a history of the various tv broadcasting stations here in the US that had regular programming segments which aired anime specific content during certain hours. They were the precursor to what Toonami would become on cable TV (which sadly was what led to these stations closing) and really helped pave the way for anime here in the US as before they came along all there was was whatever the National broadcasting got or whatever was on the videotapes some guy had in a box for sale at a con.

I would say ‘yes’, but are they as cross genre interested as I’ve seen some male anime fans? Eh..sorta. Depends on the series really.

Those were the staples in the beginning: Romance: His & Hers circumstances, Marmalade Boy, Orange Road, Maison Ikkoku. Then you had the ones with all guys: Saiyuki, Samurai Troopers; And of course all the magical girl shows: Sailor Moon, Miracle Girls, Nurse Angel, Himechan, and Cha-Cha. It was a good time to be an anime fan.

@@ektran4205 yes jdrama. And kdrama are pretty big now. Especially since AI can now get around the language barrier
