Outworld is a realm of lots of magic..and mystic....the atmosphere is magically charged so anybody in or born in outworld or where the realm connects can learn to use magic.....johnny caged likes to throw frisbee.....and that’s the thought he used to help him learn to throw a projectile .....just before mk1....in a meeting with raiden,sang Tsung and the Elder gods before the 10th Mortal Kombat tournament....Shang tsung announces the Lin kui sent their best warrior to fight on the side of outworld and the nether realm has donated another to fight on outworld’s side ....(raiden pleaded that the tournament was unfair,because of outworlders being beasts /half beast and undead and have mastery and use of magical powers & that the champion has 4 hands ...so they allowed weapons and told raiden the mortals can use magic he just never taught them ....raiden exclaimed this was never said to him......after the meeting fujin pulled raiden aside.....& told raiden he must teach them to use magic & mystical powers ...raiden was reluctant....because he said mortals should not be able to bring this to earth with them it would change the eco system ...of the planet....fujin says ether he trust the three warriors or suffer and watch the invasion.....because he doesn’t have much choice...this is the last tournament for them....u see how it’s a better and realistic explanation of things..boon you’ll need to hire me !!!!!....

You're a little wrong about the Johnny cage character origins. Originally Ed Boon and John Tobias were tasked on making a game just about John Claude Van Dam which was based on a recent movie he was in. Yeah he couldn't contribute because he was busy and probably didn't want to anyways so the MK creators decided to just make a completely different game but kept the realistic fighting concept. Johnny Cage is supposed to be a parody of Van Dam

Lorenzo Alderiso Shinnok is actually isn't that strong. While it is non canon, in Quan-Chi's ending in MK 9, he takes Shao-Kahn's soul and turns him into a revenant, with just Shao-Kahn, he kills Shinnok and all of his forces.

I always appreciated Johnny as a character! Like, before I even got into MK, I saw Armageddon for the PS2 and wanted it so badly. However, I wasn't able to get it, but heard of a recent entry in the series. I think it was called the MK Reboot at the time(instead of the usual MK9?) in magazines that I read, so I decided to wait for that game instead. Good thing, too, because I probably would've hated seeing that everyone died in the end. Anyway, when I saw Johnny's character getting ready to battle, I got so thrilled that I was getting to control him! Like, because he was wearing that outfit, I didn't think it possible, but it was amazing. Ever since, he's been my favorite, even in MKX. However, and unfortunate for him, Cassie is my new main now. I like using her so much, but I'll occasionally switch to Johnny for some older Cage action

He holds his own against Shinnok in the first timeline, awfully foreboding. XD Also, I remember getting into an argument with a person over Johnny beating both Scorpion and Sub-Zero, him claiming that Johnny is weak as shit and dies all the time in MK and yet I counted only two deaths as well as his Armageddon death where everyone died. I have no idea why he thought that Johnny was Kenny but Johnny only has one more death than Scorpion, plus the new timeline is a lot different from the old even before things started changing, the Lin-Kuei were trying to kill Shang-Tsung in the first tournament, not help him like in MK 9 so if that is different then surely Johnny is also capable of being tougher.

Scorpion dies just as much as Johnny Cage.... Armegeddon obviously. Plus his original death to Sub-Zero which lead to him becoming Scorpion. And than there was his first attempt at revenge in Sub-Zero mythologies where Bi Han kills him again.
