Watching historical Kdrama like Jumong, Hwarang, Queen Seondeok, Empress Ki, Goryeo-Khitan war, Six Flying dragon, etc.. made me understand the Korean History. It's amazing that Koreans are able to preserve such amazing historical data through out the history from Gojoseon up to the present day Korea. Hoping that one korea will be unified and be one country again.

Thank you so much for making this video as well as part 1. I am moving to Korea in a few months, and I want to learn the history, but there are not very many good resources on KZbin. Most of them are way too long with very boring narration, or they are inaccurate, or the pronunciations are very bad. These videos of yours are the best summaries I have seen!! I just finished watching part 1 and 2. These 2 videos are extremely precious for their content, clearness and presentation. Am saving them as a guideline for further research about Korean history and heritage. Actually I’ve watched several historical movies and tv series but had difficulties understanding some aspects so please if you can make more videos Iike this to help foreigners understand to background and the roots of Korean culture and costumes. I am Zimbabwean and my interest in Korean History started with watching Historical dramas and i got a bit confused with the first kingdoms and the later 3 kingdoms until the joseon dynasty. But you are very exceptional in narrating the History. It is easy to follow. I watched both part 1 and part 2. i can't wait for part 3 until the collapse of joseon dynasty. 02:27 The 'Temple name' was the posthumous name of East Asian kings & emperors. China started with the Zhou dynasty(12th century B.C. - 3rd century B.C.). In Korea, many ancient records have disappeared, but according to the remaining records... Korea's first temple name is Taejong who King Muyeol of the Silla Kingdom in the 7th century. 한국사에서 처음 묘호를 사용한 것은 고려가 아니라 신라입니다. 사서 기록에는 태조 또는 세조(김씨 왕 시조), 태종 무열왕, 열종 원성왕이 남아있고, 그밖에 몇몇 왕들이 더 묘호가 있었던 것으로 추정합니다. 중국도 수나라까지는 역대 황제 중 일부 황제가 묘호를 받았는데 당나라부터 대부분 황제들이 묘호를 받았듯이, 한국도 신라는 초기 중국처럼 몇몇 왕만 묘호를 받다가 고려부터는 대부분의 왕이 묘호를 받았습니다.

Before the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty (14th-20th Century), there were also the Annals of Goryeo (10th-14th Century). You didn't speak of the Architect behind the creation of Joseon, the scholar Jeong Do-jeon. He was the mastermind who created a system of a new nation then sought the General Yi Seong giye and allied with him to make him King of the new Nation.

Ming’s revocation of the land happened during the Goryeo period before Joseon was established. So it’s hard to say it’s related to the relationship between Ming and Joseon :)

Jeongjong was decribed as a coward and big brother who scares of his little brother often in hitorical K dramas or movies. However..Actually he was warrior and good at martial arts. He commanded one of his father's troops in many battle fields when his father was general in Goryeo government. Many historians agree that Jeongjong was not afraid of his little brother. He just did not have desire to have power. He just loved to enjoy polo, hunting and good looking girls. Also when he was king, he had never stopped practice of martial arts and sword skills. I heard that Canadian priminister Justin Trudea is still practicing boxing and doing weights.

All humans have two sides: the bright side and the dark side. When you study history, you must anayze it without person emotions or feelings. You always need to figure out only facts and data to prove them.

The founder of Goguryeo 高句麗 , Jumong(朱蒙), Goryeo 高麗 's founding king-Wang Jian (王建) and Joseon 朝鮮 's founding king-Yi Seong-Gye (李成桂) Is Actually Chinese Pronunciation. . "Gao高", "Wang王", "Li李" ... are the surnames of many Han family漢族 in China. And ancient Koreans did not have surnames and names in history . Goguryeo 高句麗 ,Baekje百濟, Silla新羅 , Goryeo高麗, Joseon朝鮮 is not the history and cultural relics of Koreans. Their royal and senior personnel are not Koreans. Most of them are members of the northern Chinese (Han peoples 漢人), (Obviously prove this from a lot of historical data and unearthed cultural relics). * Goguryeo 高句麗 like the relationship between Taiwan today (because of the disagreement of political reasons). Baekje百濟 and Silla新羅 like the relationship between Hongkong & Macau today . All their materials and goods come from other cities in China (there are no production factories in ancient Korea, nor dyes, hammer-making and other technologies). Like other Chinese cities, they regularly send goods to the Chinese emperor. If the Chinese emperor is happy, sometimes it will also give some gifts to Chinese officials in various cities. The use of Korean languages cannot wear reasonable Chinese articles and historical records. Because Chinese language and Korean language (including Japanese language) are completely different. People who recorded the history of the local regime on the ancient korea, It must be a Chinese scholar who speaks fluent Chinese language. IN Goryeo高麗 and Joseon朝鮮 , The lower levels civilians are Koreans.
