Hello Miss Vicky! This is an outstanding history lesson! Actually, my interest in Korean history started by watching K dramas, especially the historical ones. Even though they all have drama, some are based on real people and events and I always look up the real history after I’m finished with the dramas. Thank you again for your work! It helps me learn Korean history and also your Korean language classes are really helping me with Korean grammar.😊

Great video, a brief, but on-point summary of korean history! If I can give a suggestion, I would've highlighted the years as kingdoms lasting centuries is not common worldwide. 백제 and 고구려 lasted 600~700 years, 신라 lasted about 1000 years(992 in exact), 고려 about 500 and 조선 another 500 years.

Thank you for being so articulate in separating myth from evidential history. As someone trying to deeply understand my motherland's history, this is a wonderful resource and helpful foundation to bring the puzzle pieces together to complete the picture. My only outstanding question is whether the history from Korea's perspective is validated internationally (since there seems to be so much about whose version of the historical records are more accurate vs conjecture and opinion)

Thanks for an informative video! It looked like a lot of work. Do you know if there is there anything more to the tiger from the creation myth? Or does that maybe go into the land being shaped like a tiger? Just being curious.I'm eager to see part 2! 감사합니다 선생님 😁 Ah, I suppose the shape changed quite a lot, so that is certainly not the case..heh🤦♂️

Keith 님 I just checked your donation on Kofi (thank you so so much for the support 🙏🏻😭) and just got reminded I forgot to reply to your question in this comment! The tiger most likely symbolizes the exclusion of the tiger-worshipping tribe in their collaboration to establish Gojoseon :)
