وفات کے بعد جب غسل دینے کے لیے شیخ الھند کے جسم سے کپڑے اتارے گٸے تو غسل دینے والوں نے دیکھا کہ کمر پہ سیاہ رنگ کے عجیب و غریب نشانات ہیں۔غسل دینے والوں میں ایک حضرت مدنی بھی تھی حاضرین نے حضرت مدنی سے پوچھا حضرت آپ سفر و حضر میں اکثر شیخ الھند کے ساتھ رہے۔ شیخ کے جسم پہ یہ نشانات کیسے ہیں۔ حضرت مدنی نے فرمایا کہ شیخ الھند نے مجھے منع کیا تھا کہ میری زندگی میں کسی کو نہ بتانا لیکن اب چونکہ فوت ہوچکے ہیں اس لیے بتاتا ہوں کہ مالٹا کی کال کوٹھڑیوں میں سلاخیں گرم کرکے حضرت شیخ الھند کی کمر میں داغا جاتا تھا اور کہا جاتا تھا کہ انگریزوں کے خلاف اپنا مشن چھوڑ دو لیکن شیخ کی زبان پر ہی ورد ہوتا تھا یا تڑپ تڑپ کر ی شھید ہوجاونگا یا مسلمانوں کو آزادی دلواکر چھوڑونگا. آج جو پاک و ہند میں مسلمان آزاد ہیں یه ان جیسی ہستیوں کی قربانیوں کی بدولت ہے اللهُ اکبر کبیرا
