History of Nikon E Series lenses

In 1979 Nikon introduced the Nikon series E lenses as a less expensive alternative to their premium, hand assembled Nikkor series lenses already available. Some of these lenses were nothing to write home about while other obtained near mythical status.

Love the E series lenses - not a fan of the Em bodies - I've had to fix too many. Since going Z i\ve gone back to those lovely old manual lenses ... 🦘
