In this video, Steve Brown discusses the ancient but endangered Northwest Coast art practice of goat-horn spoon carving, how the practice had died off, and how the practice was revitalized. These traditional carved goat-horn spoons were made for practical as well as ceremonial use for Southeast Alaska Native tribes.
This video series was created by SHI to preserve the endangered practice of goat horn carving. To learn more, go to www.sealaskaheritage.org/node/861
