La, popularly known as Labadi is one of the principal towns of the Ga people of Accra Ghana.
As part of the rites that precedes the Homowo festival of the La people, the people of the Abese quarter celebrate yam rites for their throne.
During this year's yam festival, Nii Anyetei Anokware Nsro I gave a brief history about the people of Abese in La.

@@gada8294 Some few years ago on KZbin a La elder said Abease people of La were war captives brought to La. Abease meaning Under the Ab3 Tree so they are of Akan origin captured under the Ab3 Tree. Please disclaim or confirm.

@@jamesfranksontettey2677 I don't think it's true Because the founders of La ie. Odoi Atsem and Okang Nmashie were all in Abese Moreover, La kingship is centered in Abese and Kowe It can never be true
