I was a witness to this littoral drift. When the fishing harbour was made by dredging the kasi/kasu medu. The Consequence was this beach slightly south of wimco nagar starte disappearing. It is a great loss to north Chennai. It would have been another beautiful beach would have been a great beach of and for North Chennai. The industrial estate of Enfield and ancillaries were destroyed by sea erosion. They all had to move away to Thoraippakkam South of Madras.
