Last time I was there was about a year ago, me and my mom ordered 2 Buffalo burgers, one soda and two beers. I told the waiter that he could keep the change which was around $20 bucks and he didn’t even say thanks or anything, as if I owed him more. Lost the desire to go back since then.

I was heartbroken watching the beginning of this, to know the old lodge burned down. I'm not upset anymore to find that the lodge that burned recently wasn't the original. So it can be built again.

*I teared up hearing the news. Family has been married at the lodge and we held Thanksgiving Dinners every year for about a decade.* *So, so many wonderful memories were created there…* 🥺

ill say this no joke ,i was there this summer and there was a flower pot literally smoldering and i could see red burning embers beginning to appear ,never having been there i almost passed it off as some sort of purposeful contraption to maybe ward off flys or ? idk ,i noticed a wedding being set up nearby and asked one of the folks involved with it if the smoking flower pot seemed "potentially dangerous?" i got a few light hearted shoulder shrugging type answers and just went to the bartender and said check that pot out there -and we departed as the ice cream there i was told was $20- and nothing special -

In nineteen fifties the lodge was a 1/2 mile lower had ice skating was larger with good snow sledding hills.
