Thanks for doing the research and for giving us this show. I had a Purple Pie Man doll as a young boy. My girlfriend up the street had the Strawberry Shortcake good characters. So, I had to get the Purple Pie Man. He appealed to boys, too.

I only know the 80s version of the purple pie man, but now I think I should watch some of the other revivals of the characters. Personally, I love the original version: obnoxious, "evil", and somehow always foiled by Strawberry Shortcake LOL

I haven't watched much of the newest version but I watched the older versions. The Peculiar Purple Pieman of Porcupine Peak was a dumb villain that I loved to watched. Like I'm cheering for my girl Strawberry, but the Pieman's interactions with her and Sour Grapes were funny to me.

I love this character! Will always root for him, at least from the sweet dreams movie. its not his fault his childhood dream didn't get realised and now he's just this bitter man trying to chase success whilst these literal kids are doing better than him. Is actually quite sad.
