Is the Taj Mahal the greatest piece of Mughal architecture?
@Lonestar104434 жыл бұрын
May be, but the lal kella, the residence of the mughal emperors looks even more glorious in my eyes.

The Red Fort? I'm not mad at that at all. Personally, I'm a sucker for the Badshahi Masjid.

The Taj Mahal is a wonderful masterpiece and an awe inspiring piece of architecture. However when I visited Agra in 2014 I also explored the Agra fort which is underrated and I feel should also be given much credit and importance. While not as openly stunningly as the Taj Mahal it has myriad of architectural features for defence, comfort and grandeur. This makes it mind bogglingly intriguing site to explore with it’s many tales through history.

You know despite all the love and money that Shah Jahan had spent in building the Taj Mahal, a strange thing is that soon after it was constructed, Shah Jahan left Agra and shifted his capital to Delhi. A few years later, his son Aurangzeb happened to visit Agra and wrote to Shah Jahan about the appalling state of disrepair the Taj had fallen into! Shah Jahan also never actually visited Taj Mahal again until later in his life as a prisoner of his son.

I still cant understand why Western people cannot understand Timur was not speaking Mongolian. He was speaking Chagatay which is a dialect of Turkish language just as like Shah Jihan. My dear smart western friends. This is so easy to understand. Mongols speak mongolian and it is very different than Turkish but Timur speaks Chagatay which is a dialect that Turkish speakers can understand. Shah Jihan speaks Chagatay. So both Timur and Shah Jihan are Turkish not Mongols... Stop calling everyone Mongol, Arab, Indian...🤷♂ This sounds like I am calling French to Dutch People and calling whole latin Europe as Portuguese.

As an Indianophile (or Indianist) since the 1970s, so for me, India is the most beautiful country in the world - even another world... a world that I love 🧡 And yes, I love also Taj Mahal ☺ Thank you for understanding and I wish you all the best, with much health and happiness, in quiet and peace 🕊 ❗ Sincerely, Dinu, 63, from Romania. Mughals weren't Turks, they were Mongolians and Persians and Indians, combined together, no Turk blood, in them . Uzbeks and Kazakhs and central Asians have no real history, so steal the Mughal legacy. Mughals were mostly Indian in DNA and Persian, the Turk and Mongol blood is filthy, ruins the whole legacy,they would have been better without it.

@@Elitefootball- Uzbeks have nothing to do with Mughals, Mughals were Mongolians and Persians and Indians fused together. Uzbeks aren't related to the Mughal emperors. Uzbeks descend from shaybani and Turk nomads. Uzbeks don't even descend from Genghis Khan. While Mughals did, Akbars mother was Genghisd.
