Mustafa Kamal Pasha was a Zionist. Battle occurred between British and Army of Kamal Pasha was actually a drama to destroy Khalifath and Muslim power and to make opportunity to get power for Kamal Pasha. Kamal Pasha was actually a Cripto Jew (ShabathainZvi). After WWI Israelite Lenin Conquered Russia, Austria conquered Israel descendant, Hungary conquered Isrealite Germany conquered by 3 Israel descendants and Turkey conquered by Isrealian Kamal Pasha. Actually world allmost conquered by Israel descendants and birth of Zionist-Isreal happened

It's depressing to think about how optimistic things must have been for the Ottomans with the Tanzimat reforms. The future must have looked bright only for it to come crashing down a few decades later with the Balkan Wars, WW1, and the genocides that wiped out the Christian minorities. A sad and depressing end to what could have been an enduring legacy.

Stop saying they took it from western here western there because the military and judicial system of western empires actually comes from muslim civilizations. Modern Europe was built by muslim civilizations systems. I'm not criticizing the Europeans. Actually i think Europe did good to take their enemy good ideas and throws the bad. unlike muslims who kept decaying by rejecting their religion and old way of life and also rejecting modern ideas.

The Maronites generally fared well in Mount Lebanon, but they faced periodic violence, especially during times of sectarian conflict. The most notable of these occurred during the late 19th century, with outbreaks of conflict between the Maronites and the Druze, culminating in the 1860 Lebanon civil war (under ottoman rule). During this period, the French intervened militarily to protect the Maronites, and their survival was partially ensured through the protection of these foreign powers. Thanks France for making sure yet another minority wasn’t completely wiped out.

France was a protector of Christians, including the Maronites, in the Ottoman Empire. So the was already a relationship before WW1. These alliances were both religious and political. France provided support for the Maronite Church, including military and financial assistance, in exchange for loyalty and as a means to increase its influence in the region. This helped the Maronites survive in times of political instability

Europe should pay attention and study the history of Lebanon, instead of the constant focus on WW2. It’s the best example how to destroy a country. How NOT to run a country. How changing demographics and religion can destroy national identity and unity

Thanks a lot for this video. I find it very interesting. The biggest long term issue start to arise from 1800. It was the lack of education of people compared to its counterparts and also very bad rulling with a huge focus on istanbul like Rome... Everyone felt they could do better on their own. It is a sad story. Once they lost the arabs, the big ottoman empire could only become the small Turkey. And arabs become a long list of very weak, broken and not united countries easier to manipulate. To be honest Turkey, Azerbaidjan, Bosnia,... and the long list of arab countries will remain weak forever. 500 years of the strongest union between different languages is being completely forgotten ! Mustafa Kemal made the Turkish proud of their "nation", proud only of a language that was not even used by their rulers for 800 years ! Culturally speaking, apart from the language there was no difference with the other arab countries. They were talking using the ottoman language which is a mix of Turkish and arab. Funnily enough, the Turkish cant even read document pre 1916 of the ottoman empire ! What a proud nation... cannot even read its history.

Unfortunately Iran did concede oil extraction to the British. Something that was not needed as there were already oil extraction in Baku, and Iran could have extracted oil by training some people there. The rest is history.

Blaming the Shah for conceding oil extraction to the British ignores the harsh realities he faced. Sure, in hindsight, Iran *could have* extracted oil independently by training people, but that assumes the British would have just stood by and let it happen. The British didn’t just want access to oil-they wanted to control it, and they had the military and political leverage to make sure they did. It wasn’t a simple case of saying “no” and moving on. The Shah was dealing with a global superpower that had no problem overthrowing governments or starting wars to secure its interests. As for Baku, yes, it was a thriving oil hub, but that doesn’t mean Iran could replicate it overnight. Setting up an oil industry isn’t just about training people; it’s about resources, infrastructure, and time-luxuries the Shah didn’t have when the British were pressuring him. Let’s not forget, the rest of the history you mentioned includes years of British interference, coups, and economic exploitation. The Shah didn’t hand them the keys to Iran’s oil willingly-he was cornered by imperial powers that treated weaker nations like stepping stones for their empires.

Most of the concessions were rolled back due to people's resistance, spearheaded by nationalists and clergy. Unfortunately, losing large parts of our territory was not reversible.
@YoLo-hx3cs
@YoLo-hx3cs 2 күн бұрын
It’s easy to credit the nationalists and clergy for their resistance, but let’s not forget that their efforts were often fragmented and reactive, not the kind of cohesive strategy needed to fully reclaim autonomy. And about losing large parts of our territory? The Shah didn’t want that either. He was coerced into signing treaties under duress, knowing that outright refusal could bring even more disastrous consequences-like full-scale invasions or puppet regimes. The Shah’s hands were tied in the face of imperial powers that could topple governments as easily as flipping a coin. It’s not fair to blame him for not reversing every humiliation when the odds were stacked so heavily against him.

“Smartly” feels like an oversimplification. The Persian public showed resilience, but their efforts were fragmented and reactive, not a strategic victory against imperial powers. The British still extracted oil, manipulated governments, and dominated Iran for decades.
