One thing to know about DB is they have a few specific rules 1: All combatants greatest feats over their entire life are set as the max for their abilities unless it's an outlier or caused by outside help (This can include making composite versions of characters who have different iterations as long as those feats are feasible and each version of said character are similar). 2: Combatants have no prior knowledge of each other unless said prior knowledge is canon 3: No outside help 4: No prep time

I feel like the scenario had Iron Man as the aggressor because Batman would have prepped specifically vs IronMan, but Tony wouldn't prepare specifically vs Bruce

I think that one thing that really sets them apart when they're just going up against each other is that Tony designs his own suits while Bruce employs people like Lucius Fox to do that for him. That doesn't give Tony a huge advantage overall but I think it really does give him a certain versatility that Bruce lacks when they face off without any support. Nice reaction. I love Death Battle, they are so good. I have to check if they've done anything good recently, it's been a while since I've seen any.

Hi Eddie! I'm a MASSIVE Death Battle fan and if your going to react to more of these, then I'm excited! There are currently 148 Death Battle Episodes spread over 8 Seasons. Now, you should know that Season 1 was when the show was starting out and they only had one person (Ben Singer) to do EVERYTHING (Animation, research, editing.) in the span of a week! So, don't expect Season 1 to be very accurate BUT you can enjoy Season 1 for the charm of it. Now, I saw that you skipped the Next Time. At the end of every episode after the credits, there's a reveal for what the next time is. I kindly ask that you don't skip those again, even if you already know what the next time is. It feels more complete you know? It's a big pet peeve of mine when reactors skip the "Next Time". Now, just FYI: We're in the middle of Season 8 right now, what you just saw was the latest episode. The next episode ("Goku Black vs Reverse Flash") is set to come out Sept 26th for RT First members and a day later for Regular folks on KZbin. I hope you'll react to that episode right when it comes out for KZbin, you can then keep up with DB as it's airing. Maybe even strike up some comradery with the other DB reactors (Y0UR0NLYMATE, FreelancerAmber, DuoDreamer). Duo Dreamer is a teacher too if I'm not mistaken. This is an exciting day Eddie! Oh snap, a new reactor. Welcome onboard the Death Battle train Your reaction is pretty enjoyable. Seeing someone who is familiar with the characters is always interesting Now onto the fight --You mentioned the music. Well, fun fact, Death Battle actually has musicians creating them for the pass few seasons. The track that played during the fight is called "Suit Yourself" by Brandon Yates. Also, yeah, it is a straight up banger. --Yeah, Batman using the watchtower as a baseball bat was weird. Oh, I need to protect the watchtower, so let me use it as a baseball bat. Totally counts as protecting the watchtower. If you plan on watching more Death Battles there is things you should really know. --The animated fights aren't really how the fight would go. You see, Death Battle finds who would win over millions of different scenarios, and the animated fight tries to represent as much of those scenarios. The victor is then, who wins the majority of the time. So, questions like, "What if Batman got the drop on Iron Man" are pretty much factored in. Luthor

Older death battles drop in a lot of aspects when compared to the newer ones, but the analyses have always been amazingly good. I recommend Thanos vs Darkseid, Mario vs Sonic 1 & 2, Optimus Prime vs Gundam, Power Rangers vs Voltron, the other Batman and Iron Man battles, among many others.

6:48 just saying, death battles are done with no prep time however I do think you should totally do more though. I might actually say do ones that you either know nothing about either combatant to learn about them, or one where you love all fighters equally so your enjoyment isn't biased. However you do you. I personally enjoy all of them tbh. Even ones where the series I'm rooting for loses lol Oh, and the animation is just a fun way of showing who would win. It's generally determined by a who would win more times out of 10(0000)

Thos was awesome, I'd love to see more of these reactions. It is important to know one big thing though. The animation has no bearing on who wins the fight. They do the research and pick a winner, then animate around it. The fight is just a fun way of showing off thier work essentially

7:13 little known fact the Justice buster is actually kinda trash It didn't really fight the JL and it got backhanded by Superman and got crushed from a building falling top of it. Think about a suit that's supposed to fight the Justice League being crushed by a building at least Hulk Buster actually take more than a couple of hit from Hulk.

You’ll notice that the set-up and reasonings for their fights stretch credulity at times. Part of the reason for this is, especially in the case of hero vs hero, that there is really no likely scenario wherein they would actually fight each other. They seem to know it too, but you kinda just have to roll with it to allow the fight to happen. Good fun. ~_~

Just got to say that DB doesn’t lend itself to the same sort of “breakdown” that other things does. It comes with built-in analysis and the battles themselves are based on “show as many abilities as reasonable” and “rule of cool” - like a movie. Obviously up to you if you react to them (I personally like the battle with Static Shock), but go in knowing that it will be different till you figure out your own take. Feel free to (mostly) sit back and enjoy.

so batman got a suit made by superman in the heart of the sun with all the features that the mark 85 has. like nanotech. but tony made it literally by himself instead of doing so much drama like hammering a piece of metal in the heart of the sun. so this proves tony doesnt need anything or anyone to defeat a drama king who killed himself in at least 2 different ways, all he needs is his brain which, in dc, no one has. AAAANDDDD the dc universe is living 80 years in the past because tony just made a nanotech suit in 2-4 years by himself.

I definitely agree with you in regards to the fact they had Tony Stark start the fight by surprising Batman. While Batman may or may not have been able to hack Tony, he certainly would've tried, and he would more than likely have been able to hack any communications that Captain America and Black Widow had used to speak to Tony or their computers and if he himself couldn't, Oracle likely could so it's probable in my opinion that while Batman may not have known that when Tony was coming, he would have known Tony was coming at some point. Also, Batman is way more paranoid than Tony. The moment Batman knew of any of the Avengers existing, he would have already prepared plans to take them out as well as kept them up to date just as he did with the Justice League. I do agree that Tony Stark would most likely win in the long run in any fight between the pair, I just disagree with how it was done - also, as Superman can hear what's happening in Metropolis from another star system even if Tony had shut down Batman's communications, Superman would've heard it and unless Tony had brought his anti-Superman armour - let's face it, he would have made one in a shared universe - Superman would've been there in seconds.

@@comicking428 Possibly. As I said, I don't disagree with the ending - which I do for more than a few death battles - I just find the way they set it up to be daft from both sides. And, as an aside, the Avengers are commonly a US government backed group or a private group while the Justice League is a US backed group or a UN backed group - so the idea that the Avengers could unilaterally decide to take down the Justice League's base of operations is too flimsy.

The thing is that the rules of Death Battle state that they can't know about each other or prep ahead of time, or get help, so none of the communication stuff really mattered it was just an excuse for the fight animation to start (same for Iron Man knowing Batman's name and everything, another official rule is that the animation isn't meant to depict the verdict exactly as much as just being a fun way to show the winner and some specific points of the verdict)

Some of the BEST Death Battles: Terminator vs. Robocop Deadpool vs. Deathstroke Deadpool vs. The Mask Solid Snake vs. Sam Fisher ...really, almost any of them, but as with ERB, the later ones tend to be better.

Death Battle have VERY good battles. There are also bad ones. I would suggest you watch Superman vs Goku part 1 and 2. They go over Goku, and since the Superman vs Goku ERB, you said you didn't know much about Goku, you could learn something about him. Also, Death Battle do have a habit of high-balling characters to levels that are FAR beyond their actual capabilities. But it's an entertaining show.

I wouldn't recommend goku vs superman, it is probably the most controversial battle they did. The thing with both comics and anime is that their scaling is super inconsistent, they might survive a supernova and then nearly die from a bullet. Some feats might put them near light speed and then they get outclassed by someone going slightly supersonic right after. Goku vs superman is just a good way to get fanboys of both sides going at eachother's throats. There will always be people going "uhm actually" in any hero v hero debate, and they usually aren't wrong due to how inconsistent the scaling is. Depending on what feats you choose, the winner is basically always 50/50, even in this one. Another example of this is the dragonballs, even if goku DOES die, that doesn't mean he loses. Deathbattle is fun until you step of the toes of one of the two biggest fandoms in the world.

The animation does not determine the results, the results determine what happens in the animation. This is a common misconception. The animation is meant to show off each combatants skills and abilities while maintaining tension. Most battles would realistically end in one move such as this one where Iron Man could sneak nano suits and use his finisher as the opener, but that wouldn't be very entertaining.

Part of the point of Death Battle is that it is them with their strongest weapons and powers, and no prep for the enemy... Yes, they showed Tony getting the jump on Bruce for the story, but it could have been the other way around and the outcome would've been the same...its just easier becauae Batman has The Watchtower, while Sol's Hammer is somewhat autonomous.

Death battle are awesome, clearly research so much! Obviously most of these arguments are situation based but I feel death battle is great at looking at a standard situation. Awesome reaction as usual, great to see a non biased reaction, Batman is my favourite character of all time but it’s hard to see him beating iron Man in a general fight. Brief note, although I think others may have mentioned it: The animations in Death Battle are officially just for entertainment and having a fun way of showing the fight, so Iron Man surprising Batman wasn't really considered in the verdict. (Unlike something like AnimationRewind lmao, "Wario beat Knuckles because he had the advantage of the circumstances so like this video to have a fair rematch" lmao yeah right) Also, rest assured, plot armor is thrown to the wind in this show lol

I personally like Iron Man better, but I got to give believability to Batman. Batman’s suits are not as strong, because at least they are somewhat more realistic. Iron Man’s suits are pretty much like God shitting out a piece of metal and Tony putting it on.

I think Bruce would have had a plan in place BEFORE the fight (more involved than just calling in Supes). Iron Man has more tools in his arsenal and has more options during the fight but pre-planning would trump improv.

These are always good to watch, but watch enough and you get frustrated with the cherry picking of abilities at times to suit the narrative they want to win. They quite often use abilities and powers they only ever had once for a very specific reason, or ignore reboots etc. I mean when Superman is powerful enough to destroy solar systems with a sneezing fit in one iteration, you need to define who gets to use what and when. They also don't go into weaknesses or the average ability much. All heroes at times get taken out by really stupid things and need help. The balance between their best and worst makes them who they are.

The outcome of the winner isn't determined by the fight itself, but the analysis of their weapons, armors, and skills. Iron Man would've won the fight regardless if Batman sneak attacked him. Also another thing to note is that all passive natures are removed (they are fighting to kill) and they are unaware of the enemy's arsenal unless it's canon that they do know. Also the fights are spontaneous so they don't have time to prepare.

The only thing about death battle is take everything thing they say with a grain of salt. You see specifically why in Superman vs Goku. They messed up bad in that episode by making Goku’s super saiyan 1 stats the exact same as his base stats. While yes I agree with the overall out come of Gokuvs Superman. They really did give Goku the middle finger.

a big thing its not just Bats vs Iron Man, its Bats vs Iron Man and Friday. shes running all the suits and as an AI shes hacking the Hellbat. Being an AI shes infinitely faster then any human. On top of that she can also take control of the suit tony is in. why is that important u ask. well look at an example in the mcu civil war. iron man is gettin owned by cap, friday warns stark that he cant match caps fighting skills. what does stark do, he has friday analyze caps fights style then immediately he starts countering every move..no tony wasnt doing that she was. friday could easily analyze bats fight style and then proceed to counter all of it...its unfair 2 on 1 fight

Iron Man has universe bending AI. It would have to to process at the picosecond it must use extradimensional wiring. Their thoughts and capabilities are just utterly irrelevant when that hits the field. Also the Hellbat uses his freaking metabolism? That's the dumbest shit I have ever heard. Like he dies 5% of the way into his wind up swing with the watch tower. He couldn't have asked a green lantern for a cosmic battery, or let superman forge a diamond-graphite battery mesh in the sun, or like attach it to multiversal energy or anything? Going in I'd say batman wins without a suit since he trained in martial arts where as stark wasn't but if we're fighting at full arsenal starks suits are more advanced but mentally batman is more willing to kill if needed. He doesn't like it but hed do it sooner than stark would So im guessing Batsy wins

On top of Iron man accelling in every degree I am sorry even hand to hand combat, tho batman could win the most, there's 0% chance batman would dominate that much, Tony mastered martial arts too, not every but a couple, any man whose seen UFC or wrestling or street fighting, to much martial arts does not mean better mastering a few is better tbh. Batman got whipped by Bane... Tony whooped Cap and Winter soldier... either one could potentially destroy bane 1 on 1... so even hand to hand combat its a debate just Tony has superior feats than batmans hand to hand fights...
