Whether they find valuable "Treasure" or not, I just love this show! the treasure to me is the story, the history and yes that guarded hope they find something valuable and possibly to change history. Hope some day I can visit!

This show is the greatest drinking game ever invented. Every time someone says, "Could it be" or "Hopefully" you take a drink. Trust me, you'll be be plowed by the end of the show. That hook belonged to Captain Long Hook he lost it wrestling with the Creature from the Dark caverns. He was able to escaped after offering the Creature half of a Babe Ruth Bar. The creatures favorite candy!

I stopped watching after season three. I felt like I was watching several years of Gerardo Rivera opening Al Capone’s vault. “What’s this? A wine bottle!!!” I figure if they ever find anything I will hear about it on the news.

I agree it gets crazy watching an hour long show to find a 200 yr old nail under the remains of a house but they are not allowed to just rip apart the island. Their every move is watched by the Canadian government and must have approval before starting the next step such as digging, putting in shoring or draining the swamp. I admire the documenting of the trail of history that they have found. Seems like Oak Island must of had a sign on it saying, 'Moor here. Cut trees, collect fresh water and kill wild game to replenish your supplies. Leave your treasures and lose your personal belongings please.' 500 hundred years of dropping personal tresaure do not seem to cover the centuries people have been choosing to hang out on Oak Island. We still have Christopher Columbus, Vikings and Knight Templar covering another 500 years+-. I only hope in my life time they have come up with absolutes and not just hersay but afraid without a written record it will always be educated guessing as to who, what and when something happen on Oak Island. Even when/if treasure chest are found we still will be guessing to some degree as to who hid it but Oak Island' still remains as my kind of reality show. I too was ten years old when I read the Readers Digest story about Oak Island. Nobody else in my family seemed to be fascinated by the possibility but I remember the island's name when the series started and wait for the beginning of each season to live vicariously through the 'Fellowship' of men exploring all that Oak Island may yeild be it a 200 year old nail, semi precious stone brooch or, my favorite, the lead cross.

I think I’m updated on the show.lots of important finds,historically.but,not the actual treasure,seems this is going to take one heck of a fight to be in with a chance,and I also find it much more complex than first thought and more importantly,it’s turning into an archeological project. Sorry to hear about your mother. Human bones, some artifacts (Weapon, ammo, jewelry/broaches, coins from before the 1700's). A lead cross, small bookbinding pieces made from pigskin and hand-cut beams from down in the boreholes (before the invention of the circular saw). All good signs and proof of early human activity, though as the brothers say on the show, for every item/clue they find, it raises more questions than answers. It may not sound like much to some, but it's all very important historical pieces to this massive "Oak Island Puzzle". Finding multiple human remains, coal and book bindings 45 feet below the surface in the area of the tunnels is pretty significant. There is or was something every significant there..it's costing the brothers a fortune so hopefully they don't give up until they know for certain whatever is, or was there, is solved.

The wood structures were build to support large vessels that needed repairs. It’s a fact that these sailing vessels always needed repairs and could only be done out of the water. That’s the reason also for the area having to be flooded to get the ships on the support wooded structures. Money pit????? We do not think so. In fact, NOT.

Why not lower a strong magnet on a line down to these objects while the camera is in the hole. No disturbance of visibility or danger to divers, and if it's steel it will collect it. Alternatively, gentle suction dredging might remove the smaller debris and allow better visibility. Obviously 150 feet lift would demand too much power, but a self contained system like an underwater vacuum cleaner would surely be feasible.

They’ve been doing exactly that in season 6. It’s been working quite well, lots of wood and logs being found. Specifically Oak is being found which went extinct on the island years ago.

I think C-1 either is the money put or is connected to it. Water has been flooding in for over a hundred years so there is so much sediment and debris washed in you can't see everything. There could be a tunnel connected to this area also.

really it looks like a very fast plaster job the hole looks like it was bored with a big round bore it scrubbed into some of this material and it was hard enough to stop water-filled and washed away some silt and dirt leaving the metal hook against the wall untouched by the bore from the scrub point over the ground seems to make the wall look straight except for where the hook is it did not wash away enough. what kind of water current is down there can you tell what direction it is coming from you are doing a true study are you not?
