I had a 69, and Danny did the right thing by thinking twice on this. The parts are like trying to find a gold mine on the moon. 650 for just one door panel, and the fella I bought it from had that door panel in storage for seven years. After dying the leather and replacing the smaller pieces,..I had almost a thousand bucks in to one door panel. Beautiful car, lots of power and ride like a dream,...but I couldn't be happier that it's someone else's nightmare now.

Body parts will be hard to come by, but drivetrain on all the old Pontiacs are virtually the same. The money would be in the body and interior work. But it looked like it was all there... could've been an easy flip.

stingray427man What kind of wheels does it have? The reason I ask is because I traded for a group of cars the other day and one of them was a grand prix of a similar vintage. I didn't even act like I was interested in it so as not to draw attention and up the price. I haven't done the research yet to determine what exactly it is, but the wheels mount similar to a mobile home, the first that I've seen in that configuration.

stingray427man Thanks, that's good info. There is also a second one in the same lot purchased that I assumed was a year newer due to having a standard configuration hubs. Luckily both are in what I would almost consider pristine condition due to being stored their entire life under a carport. I am curious if the car is more valuable with the 8 lug setup or is interest minimal enough that conversion wouldn't be detrimental to value, but to be honest I am kind of attracted to oddity of the odd wheel configuration. Either way it would be fun to build a period correct Pontiac drag car, with a Nunzy Romano type engine build. I'll try to update you once I pick all of the cars up in a couple weeks and see what exactly I have...
