@gd33694 жыл бұрын
well i think anyone that love cars could consider themselves a "car guy" to an extent ... i understand where you're coming from ... i think they know what they have and they are sitting on their hands till the right buyer comes alone ... but to have it in the open to the car can rust and get swallowed up by the elements is CRAZY in my opinion ...

If you can't do the work yourself then you aren't a car guy. You are just someone who pays someone else to do the work.

They talk all the time about how things like this are survivors, because they survived scrap yards and destruction. This....this video explains why these vehicles are actually dying. Owners that hold onto a memory. At the cost of the actual thing that created the memory. Expecting someone else will pay them, in excess, for making the job of saving them even harder than before. The AMX at 0:28 was just sold this year. The new owners looked up the title history and contacted the owner who sold it in 1992 to these guys, and that former owner is a relative of mine. The pictures I saw from this year show it sitting in a build where the roof had caved in on it, and clearly things had devolved a bit from when this was filmed.

Mike is not the nice guy he pretends to be on TV. He is always expecting his customers to be nice and generous with there time but when I called Mike on his cell phone after my Dad passed away he was not concerned that I was looking for information on a Indian race bike that my dad use to race in the late 50's. I called him because he claims to collect Indian bikes and I really thought he could help me know what the bike was by the pictures I sent him. The only thing he was concerned with was what website had his info it. SO he wanted info from me but did not reciprocate by helping me out at all. He just ghosted me. I never called him or texted him again out of professional curtesy. I just thought it was a total d--k move. He only cares about him self and what he can make. No longer a fan of Mike Wolfe
@tomparis372 жыл бұрын
I mean you dug deep for his personal cell phone number and then started asking for info like youve known him from way back. Im gonna run a scenario with you that I do when I have computer clients who aren't getting it. Lets say instead of Mike Wolfe being who he is its YOU, you're the man with the knowledge and tv show. Its Tuesday afternoon you're going over some things for your business and you get a call. You don't recognize the number and you're kinda a celebrity so its strange and there are lots of wackos out there. You go ahead and answer and this guy starts asking you about Indian motorcycles and then the dude starts sending you pictures via text! Now you're like what in the world first off how did this guy get my number and why is he blowing up my text with pictures???? This guy is strange and has gone out of his way to find my personal number. So you go look dude I need to know where you got the number from but the other guy just keeps going on that his dad passed away and is sending pictures. So you hang up and block the guys number. That was you to Mike Wolfe. He doesn't exist to be your personal information giver. Next time A. do the research yourself and B. If you MUST speak with him go through the proper channels.
