This is by far my favourite show on tv. Ive been on this journey with them since 2013. Wether they find something or not doesn’t bother me. The mystery and the story and the history, the science its been very interesting to watch and i will watch it again. Sorry to hear of the passing of Big Dan Blankenship. Maybe they will call an end to it now or maybe they might push on for one more season. I cant see it going on for many more years. But it was great while it lasted.

I sure miss treasure hunting ..people there is a world of discoveries to be made out there ..I know for a fact ! You would be surprised what you can find at a flea market a pawn shop ..a yard sale ..your neighbors old falling over barn..get a metal detector , get a magnet ..go magnet fishing .. let someone else drive the car so you can just look around yourself as you go down the road , there is a treasure to be found around every corner .

I'm a big fan of the show and still hope they'll find the treasure. However, if they search Smith's Cove inwards and don't find the tunnels that flows that Money Pit, then probably there will be nothing real in the island. For me though, the wooden chunks of oak they've already found and the coconut fibers are the real treasure.

From the late 1500s to late 1700s, was the time of the Maunder Minimum. During this time, the earth had grown much colder than it had been so water was locked up in the icecaps making the island have a larger shoreline. This was also the time that Stradivarius had harvested trees for his violins as the trees had dense tree rings in them. They were able to get these structures built on dry land. When the sunspot activity resumed its normal 11 year cycle the water came back in. We are now heading to another solar minimum, maybe another "mini ice age". Opportunity....

@carol hall What really p***es me off is that they saw and they basically know what is at the bottom of Borehole 10-X, but the diver told all us "simpleton" TV viewers that there was "nothing down there", and they all walked away from Borehole 10=X despite the fact that Mr. Dan Blankenship risked his life for 10-X and said he would do the descent again because he truly believed what he saw down at the bottom in that cavern and he knows that manmade items are down there. If History Channel had followed through with the retrieval process of Borehole 10-X, the mystery would probably have been solved and there would be no more LUCRATIVE TV show and nobody would be making lots of money. It is clear that History channel is dragging this Reality TV show out and milking it for all it's worth. Unfortunately, this show is all about ENTERTAINMENT and not about answering questions or solving the mystery. I have been following this Oak Island saga since I was a kid and several experts have said in recent times that Oak Island most probably contains a tomb of someone VERY PROMINENT in History--- a tomb so historically significant that it had to be protected by flood tunnel booby traps carefully placed under a manmade artificial beach at Smith's Cove! The experts have said that whatever is at the bottom of Borehole 10-X was most probably placed there "from below"--- placed there via a shoreline entrance to the cavern(s) that was above water a millennium or two ago when the sea level was much lower around Oak Island. The whole thing is mindboggling! Sorry so Lengthy! :)

What you are uncovering is something done before the Water level was that high! That would be before the Flood or the Pole Shift that caused it ! And the water level to rise to its currant point! What you have is an Elephant that brings us to the Indian Continent and the People of India! Crishna!!! This Island was Built long ago before the French or British or any one!! Look for an Entrance to this Island from the Main Land! Its a Tomb!

@Richard Lesperance Great comment! I also believe that Oak Island contains a tomb of someone VERY SIGNIFICANT. Back in the 1990's, the Geological Survey of Canada mapped the sea floor with one of their research vessels in the vicinity of Oak Island and they discovered underwater "ancient" shorelines from when the water levels were much lower. The Geological Survey stated that the sea level surrounding Oak Island rises approximately 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years and the bathymetric charts that were made revealed two (2) of what might be ancient entrances to the cavern(s) under Oak Island that were seen in the sea floor as it sloped up to the island. These purported cavern entrances would have been above the mean high water line upwards of two thousand years ago or more. As for what you said about a cavern entrance from the mainland, keep in mind that Oak Island was NOT an island in the very ancient past, but was part of the mainland!

This show, took a history, filled wirh mystery, fantasy, and magical dreams. Turned it into a whimsical, joke of a production! The respect lost, with each episode, will overwhelm, the true past history, no one, will ever remember. The repetitive material, used by the narrator, and shown by repeating clips, has taken its toll on viewers. If one takes the content gathered, you could put it all in a two hour special, even tho, they're 6 seasons of material. No, the time has come, for the sun to set on this oak island. They talk of gold, treasure and precious history, clouded in mystery. Yet go about searching using methods of antiquity, We can find resources on earth, using photos from space. Yet unable to find anything, in a half an acre of ground? No, the show has taken this wealth of history, and destroyed it by making a mockery, with a show that plays out, like a broken record!

I use to watch. I haven't watched 1 show this season. I gave up. The show moves to slow like a day time soap. History channel give them the money they need to being in the heavy heavy equipment to dig it all up. If next season you don't get to the bottom of this just forget it. Seeing what was accomplished this season I'm glad i didn't watch. The people want digging and the mystery solved. not dragged out. I'm going to see what next season holds. If it's not electric right from the beginning. I won't watch next season either.

@antony kulik I believe it's an ancient tomb. Keep in mind, the 90-foot stone uncovered in 1803 was found with the strange symbols "face down" in the Money Pit--- NOT face up for anyone to see when digging down! That would indicate that it was a "capstone" for a tomb. Also, the symbols have been determined by modern-day scholars to be of Tifinagh or Berber which have their origins to over two thousand years ago.
