If I was younger I would probably have done the same thing. Though, it would be in archeology/paleontology/geology, due to their other channel, history of earth. While I find space/the universe and all that to be a bit more interesting, advanced math really stresses me out, so physics would definitely, unfortunately, be off the table. @@normangensler7380 well just try and understand that everything costs money. as evil as it may seem to "sell out", understand that we must move forwards, and the best medium in this physical world to easily transfer value for things you need, is money. Your physical time and labor is transitioned into money, making it easy to buy food, pay for your house, etc. the people making these videos are taking their time out of their life to present you with the information you wish to see, often for free. so they need the money elsewhere. I know its a simple concept, but i dont understand why its something you need to complain about. im just happy there are people willing to sponsor them so they can make this information possible.

in the last several years of watching physics and cosmology lectures on youtube, this is the first one that explained the logical leaps that lead to our current theories of the universe. the impression i've gotten before is that einstein and all the others were some sort of crazy geniuses that came up with fantastical assumptions that happened to be correct. it was very refreshing and grounding to actually be able to follow the how and why these ideas came about

I really love the style too, that they maintain a single narrator the entire time. A lot of these shows like to throw in random physicists sitting in their office talking for a couple of minutes here or there -- keeping a consistent narrator for everything, even to read quotes from others, really smooths it out and ensures the message is well constructed and organized from moment to moment.

If I have to point out the mistake in that sentence, you'll probably just respond that it's not a mistake, or that it's too trivial to take issue with, or that it's a "style" issue (it's not), but it reads: "...questions to which Eistein's theories only begin to answer." At first glance it should be obvious that the writer started out to write one sentence but switched in the middle to end up writing another; it should have said, either "...questions which Eistein's theories only begin to answer..." or "...questions to which Eistein's theories only offer the beginnings of answers..." or some such variation. TR;DR version: there are too many "to's" in that phrase; one ANSWERS a question; one presents an answer to a question; but one does not answer TO a question. There are other spelling and wording issues; I am done with this channel and am not going to revisit it to dredge them up for you. Consider them exercises for the reader. If you can't catch them or just don't care, no amount of explanation my part will be anything but wasted. My overall impression from this and other offerings is that, while this channel boasts shiny production values, its cultured-sounding narration is laid over careless and inaccurate writing, and it does not deserve the gushing praise that other commenters have posted here.

To keep in mind, the vibrational universe is periodical as a function. It's limits are where motion starts, and the speed of light, the fastest it can move before it no longer produces tactile matter that respons to time ,space and gravities. Faster or slower, it is potential or kinetic energy that permeates instantaneously. Of all the channels I've seen on KZbin, this is probably the best. And of all this channel's videos I liked this one the most. Another of my questions to all of 7.1 Million I'll never meet--When I was about 3-4 years old, I distinctly remember that when I got into the car with my family, I waved good-bye to our house as I knew that I was still while the rest of the world moved around me. My dear sister told me that everyone has had that belief as a child though mine hasn't gone away . . . (she was the only one who could translate the unusual language I spoke until I was "re-educated"). My mother desperately tried to quash my true concept of reality. She kept insisting that I was the one that was moving. I told her I needed help with my philosophy class and started reading DeCarte, Sarte and later, my grandfather's favourite in its original Russian, Ouspensky, to her. On her death bed, I finally told her that I understood what she meant (I didn't tell her that I believed her!)! Do other people feel this way, as my sister has assured me my entire life??

Time we measure, and we use it to measure the speed of light in seconds. The weirdest thing is that we are an assembled collection of particles from the beginning of time but each form we are assembled into is for only a portion of time. How many previous forms have your particles been assembled into? Have your particles been in dinosaurs, volcanoes, the primordial soup? Maybe your particles were in several places at the same time, perhaps some were animals, plants, rocks, lakes, ocean, at the same time? Incredible that DNA can assemble those particles into every life form that has ever existed. And that all DNA are related. And that DNA itself is also particles. So what created DNA? These are a wonderful series of science videos that raise philological thoughts. There really are very very good.

And whats crazy is that we can go go even beyond that. What created the particles, what do our particles lie on, what created that? What created the platform we are in...and on and on. It almost feels like there is an onion where we are creating worlds (simulations) to understand our own world and in the future, the simulations we create could create new simulations to understand themselves, etc. Its certainly possible that every single conscious being ever existing in a multiverse does not know their own origin and the particles that make up you and me are all pieces of the same past and future. Quite literally, our perspective is the year 2022, but our particles have already experienced the past and future and our minds are just moments of minute time. Assuming our theories are correct, we genuinely are nothing more than particles trying to understand ourselves. Its why i want to be cremated when i pass. Let my particles flow freely again and become something new. No need to keep then trapped in a box of slow decay under soil

If it’s a large mass it can warp the spice thyme packet into funny shapes. Doesn’t affect the pice thyme flavour, but just interesting that it warps as many physicists seem to think that’s an important detail.

I remember in grade school, we did an experiment, where 2 watches were set to the same time, one was put in our classroom, another was run up to the top of a 25 story building and both second hands were started at the same exact second. A few days later, the watches were off by about 3 hours. Minds blown lol. Simple experiments like that as a child made science so cool to me and my friends lol, Videos about space and time always bring me back to that time. It was the first time I could understand just how much the force of gravity was influencing us besides keeping us from floating away. I hope im alive long enough to see the next big developments in quantum physics and space research and exploration.

It is always incredible to learn how things were discovered, especially so long ago. How the speed of light was discovered is so clever it blew my mind. If I was transported to 1600s, I don't even think I could of imagined a way to prove it, even though I know it to be true.

anyone who doesn't fully understand what entropy means thinks more entropy or higher is more chances and things that can occur and then think of low entropy as more certain and fewer options for something to happen example Imagine you have a deck of cards that is perfectly arranged in order from Ace to King for each suit. This ordered arrangement represents low entropy because there are very few ways to arrange the cards in this specific order. Now, if you shuffle the deck of cards, the arrangement becomes more disordered. There are countless ways to arrange the cards randomly, and this represents high entropy. It's much easier to achieve a disordered arrangement compared to the specific ordered arrangement. In this example, the ordered deck of cards has low entropy because it has a specific organization, while the shuffled deck has high entropy because it can be arranged in numerous ways.

To those who are just starting to study this topic, this video might seem "amazing" and "award worthy", however taking into account all the science that humanity has collected to this point, and the philosophical knowledge,,, this video touches upon only a small portion of information. But MOST importantly, it leads in the wrong way, leading people to spend their time thinking "Oh my goodness, what is space, what is time, they are so myphterious, are they even real", (this is childish), but the more important questions are: " how the mind makes sense of everything? what is life? what kind of person are you? how to better oneself?" If we get caught up in the physics, which are secondary, we are lost. Physics are the result, and we need to go to the source. The source is consciousness, awareness, the Mind. If you want to block a river, you do not do it at the waterfall, but at the source. The MIND or consciousness gives point and sense to everything, so THEORIES, and these are ONLY theories, of "relativity, or is time real?", blah blah, will just waste your life. And everyone who has studied this for some time, knows that time is not important, it is relative, and just a tool for measuring, it is used to make life easier in society, in cities... , But, it is worthless in Nature, there is no BIG ass secret as the author presents it, about time. Space, and the passage of space, that is the real mystery, but even more mysterious is, "who are We in this great calculus of life" and what you do with your life, what kind of person you are and how you make yourself better

I can testify to both of you as a consumer of television and radio from the late 1960’s that this production is of a level that was rarely or never seen for those 50 years. If there had been something like it, it would have been on public television and a lot of people would have enjoyed it. There was a few theories that I came across, where if put together you would come across something similar to. Supposing that everything always moves at a constant velocity through space time, and using a unit circle to describe your movements through space and time, that as more of the velocity is moved from time to one of the spacial direction then the less you would move through time causing time dilation. And if we suppose that time was the 4th dimension, then the only thing special about time is that we by default are moving through it at the speed of causality. The reason why we experience time and the reason why looking at lights perspective is not valid would be the same thing because we would be moving through the time dimension at the speed of causality the length of that dimension would be contracted to zero becoming an unacceptable spacial dimension, the reason why from lights perspective would seem invalid is because one of our regular spacial dimensions would be contracted to zero. And if it weren't for the rest of reality moving through the time dimension with a high relative velocity then it wouldn't move through time as we know it, like how sending air into fast flowing wind causes it to be dragged along with it where the speed the photons would possess to us would be how much the rest of things moving through spacetime could effect the things around it. Where moving from that, the big bang would basically be (0,0,0,0) where energy would be able to move freely in all dimensions upon release but the instant that direction was chose it would be set, meaning that there would be no difference between moving backwards or forwards in time under the consequences of physics, but the effect of overcoming the constant velocity of everything around you in the time dimension would require that you entirely divert the velocity from your time dimension before would be able to divert it entirely which would require an exponential amount of energy to do so running into the the two things i don't know how to spell off the top of my head about the permeability of space which goven the speed of causality, so because everything else is all mostly uniform in the direction it is moving through spacetime you would require an infine amount of energy to move fast enough to be able to divert to the other direction of time due to running into an exponentail amount more space moving perpendicular to you, so moving in the opposite direction to us now makes sense in the context of everything else in space moving in that same direction. Which is would basically be the same as us now but with a different dimension or direction serving as our classical time. Would also explain what takions or whatever things are that move faster than light are, just being something where one of our spacial dimensions where the effects of the perpendicular movement of our part of space-time doesn't apply but retains at least some of the moment imparted by it's creation. But in the context of this, the arrow of time is basically how all the energy tied in energy or mass is effected by everything else velocity of all other energy moving through spacetime, and why would space itself carry the momentum for the flow of time, well due to the fact of zero point energy. If all energy including zero point energy retained the momentum of the directional velocity which would be time in this case that would be the greatest cause of why it's so hard to overcome, the fact that anything moving through a particular area of space would encounter this zero point energy would cause a continuous drag in the direction of which it's velocity was due to it interfering with the constant velocity it the object had. Like how light entering another medium the superposition caused by the electrons in the material can cause the positions of the crests of light to be dragged back or forward therefore closer or further apart, a similar thing could be happening with zero point energy and everything else, the constant velocity of zero point energy through spacetime causing an effect that superimposes onto other energy causing everything to be draged just a bit in the time dimension, consentrations of areas of higher energy being effected less due to that drag having less of an overall effect, causing time to run slower, and things moving fast in terms of relativistic speeds having enough of their constant velocity through spacetime diverted to cause time to slow from an outside perspective, but to them time would still be moving at normal speed due to running into the equivilent amount of zero point energy induced drag. This would also say stuff about there being particals that wouldn't be effected by the drag of the zero point energy but I'm just going to leave that for now. But yeah, if we are talking about universal symmetries then why wouldn't the universe be symetric

In fact, in just about any fantasy setting WITH magic, that same magic would be able to be defined as science within that setting. “Magic” in the fantasy sense defines a system of powers and abilities which are still dictated by some sort of “system”. Science, on the other hand, defines a method of categorizing and understanding the world around us. If that world had magic, the categorization and study of said magic would still be science.

Yes. The inside of a black hole would be a white hole, the exact opposite of a black hole. A white hole would look a lot like what we call the big bang, and as far as we can tell it's only happened once in our universe.

Mathematically a problem with Many Worlds is "where does the energy to produce the branching universes come from?" What many fail to explain is that a consequence of the equations properly applied is that there is no branching out, that's pop science: ALL possible timelines have always existed! That's much easier to understand if there is no time at all. The "Big Bang," the present, and the future death of the universe all happen simultaneously. Since we're trapped inside this universe and subjected to its gravity, we perceive spacetime. For an external observer, outside this universe, however, the entire thing is tiny and exists for a tiny instant. That would also explain dark energy: particles that seem to emerge from nothingness for a tiny fraction of a femtosecond. To us, they pop out of nowhere in the deepest recesses of our space. But for creatures trapped inside such tiny, fast events, they are entire universes, huge and lasting for eons.

It really is quite fascinating isn't it? The book "Dialogue of Two Worlds" is quite a famous book and the absolute definition of space and time is actually called the Galilean transformation thus showing how Galileo was the first to propose a theory of relativity. Einstein's Special Relativity relies on the Lorentz Transformation instead where a specific speed has to be held constant in every reference frame.

So , we do experience a subtle difference in inertia when all of those rotations 1. Revolution velocity of earth 2. Orbit of the sun 3.orbit of the milkyway 4. Linear momentum of galaxy through space. All move in the same direction as apposed to all rotation toward the reverse. The effect on time must be huge yet we are totally unaware of it.
