How many movies from that era do stick close to the source material? They were still trying to figure out so much about how to tell a story on screen in an engaging way. Getting it right was lucky to be a secondary concern to them.

I enjoyed that, but my mind jumped like a broken record and had to catch up every time "Leif" is mentioned. It's Leif like eye or aye or "life", not Leaf or thief :D
