A 62-year-old woman died Tuesday night after being hit by a driver who took off along 4th Street North.

We have crosswalk by where I live and nobody ever slows down! There’s used to be sign in the concrete in the middle of the walk way but some how they get destroyed but there’s still A big sign on the side of the road! Nobody stops !

Actually pedestrians don't always have the right of way in Florida Only when they are at the cross walk and it says it's OK to cross. Other than that stay out the road.

I’ve never seen so many hit and runs in one state in my life! There seems to be at least 2-3 per week I hear on the news in my Tri-county area of FL that I currently live in.. People in general, and I mean everywhere, have lost respect towards another person’s life. If an issue/problem doesn’t affect them personally, it doesn’t exist.

It will never be safer. People are so impatient that they cant stop and wait a minute for someone to cross. Nobody slows down in school zones anymore. It’s a free for all out on the roadways. It’s worse in pasco since pasco sheriff doesn’t do traffic enforcement anymore. Buy dash cams. That’s all I can say. It’ll save you butt one day.

This happens around here almost constantly. Pedestrians and bicyclists get mowed down on the roadways and even sidewalks at times, resulting in loss of life. Then the self centered pos leaves their vistims dying in the streets while they drive away, with their lives uninterrupted. Even if the person who hit the victim is found, they are often not charged and do not face consequences. Step up efforts to locate these offenders and then actually charge them with something!! How many people have to die on the roadways of Pinellas before something is done. It’s disgusting and ridiculous!!
