I can't believe it took over a year for me to hear this jewel. Todd, you and Clay Ballard have been my golf gurus for the last year. Clay talks of the motorcycle move or the tour twist. I took it to mean this movement was done at after the transition of the swing, when I had too many things to be thinking about. Now you finally put it where I can easily add it to my swing, at the beginning. WOW! I'm 63 and was playing with a 21 year old, he couldn't believe the improvement in the contact I am making compared to a month ago. Now all I have to focus on is turn the lead hand under (which keeps the club face flush), keep my trail elbow tucked as I turn, and finally transfer my weight forward. I love the sound, the distance, and the direction. Thank you so much.

Todd, Mitch Moe here from Huntsville, AL. I've not heard that take away tip before, and am excited to try to. I'm a Saturday golfer, and most weeks I try and get to the range, to work on short game a bit. Current Handicap is a 9, but can go from 79 to 88 weekly. I hope this tip helps me out some. Always have some great shots, and always have some not great shots. Have been hitting my approach shots thin lately, which run them over the green, and takes my par well out of range. Not sure why I'm hitting them thin lately, but will work on ball placement, and try this take away tip from some help. When i talk about my approach, it's mostly 9-W on shot 3 of par 5's. Really appreciate all your helpful videos. Mitch Moe

Golf is over for us here this year in Wisconsin. ☹I was struggling to strike my irons flush this year, and I have to tell you that this tip (knuckles under in takeaway) helped me more than any other tip! If I remembered to do it (I'm old), it helped me strike all my clubs better. Thank you for the tips and for keeping them simple.

An excellent tip on the "crushing the irons" Todd! I have gone to the center ball position and as an "experienced" golfer, this has worked out nicely for me. Although not always successful, I also try the "knuckles down" on the glove hand takeaway. Always learning from your videos Todd! Keep up the good work!

Hi Todd thanks for the great tip! I also just purchased your book. I am 64 and only been playing for about 2 years. Does turning the fingers in apply to hybrids and driver? Thanks again!
@USGOLFTVshow Жыл бұрын
Great question, short answer is yes it does. Just be careful to not overdo it with the driver as it could produce a low hook. Be sure to let me know if you enjoy the book, it has been well received.

From Roanoke, VA. Really enjoy your instructions, if only I could remember all of the right things to do during my round of golf. I tend to lose focus on what is the right thing to do. From Detroit, sorry kindve late to the vid but, my issue is divots and overall contact, i can flush and hit the center of my irons but can never make divots unless it’s chunky or short of my full swing, I’ll brush the grass and make great contact and flush it but ik there’s a better way with making a divot. When I try to make a divot I either chunk it or hit it short, 1/10 shots trying to divot I’ll get that nice divot with a flushed straight contact
@USGOLFTVshow Жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with not taking a divot if you are hitting it solid. Some of the best ball strikers in the game where "pickers"...keep doing YOU if it is working.
