Im one of those people that BTS has saved. 2020 November I was ready to end my life, the hotline I was calling wasn't picking up because they were too busy. I never watched BTS in my life nor cared, but their music video Stay Gold was on my recommended and I clicked it. I didn't understand anything they were singing, it was japanese version too but I knew the phrase stay gold from the book The Outsiders. That song broke me and I started crying and realized I had been so busy not processing my bfs suicide years ago that I stopped feeling anything and was dead inside. BTS sent me in a rabbit hold where I found songs like serendipity and Epiphany. Their music has meaning. and Namjoon is no exception as an artist and savior for me.

A little bit of info about the relation between wildflowers and fireworks. Korean word for wildflower is 들꽃놀이 (deulkkotnori) and the word for fireworks is 불꽃놀이 (bulkkotnori). Both words sound very similar and that's probably what prompted him to carry the wordplay into english with 'flowerwork'. RM has mentioned that the lyrics in this song express his “desire to live like humble and tranquil wildflowers rather than a flamboyant flame that quickly blows out.” He also talked about how throwing flowers into the air reminds him of fireworks as they briefly pause in the air before scattering and falling down (he does actually like to go to parks and lie in the grass). Another interesting bit in the video are the traditional Korean fireworks you can see towards the end (the part with flying embers, that's not cgi). They're called 낙화놀이 (nakhwanori) which literally translates to 'falling flowers' and are believed to date back to 17th century. It can take several weeks to create and set them up for big festivals. For anyone interested the show '2 days and 1 night' had an episode featuring it here on yt. Another interesting wordplay is the album's title 'Indigo' which in Korean is 남색 (namsaek) which can be seen as an abbreviation for 남준의 색깔 (namjoon-e saekkal) meaning 'Namjoon's color'. RM has mentioned several times that indigo is his favorite color. Very fitting for an album that's supposed to be an archive of his 20s. Someone commented yesterday how the world looks more vivid when seen through Namjoon's eyes and I keep thinking back to those words. I'm rather used to viewing the world as rather bleak and dreary and Namjoon's immensely beautiful and vivid mind is somehow very striking and almost shocking against this dark backdrop. He's definitely a poet of rare talent. I wish there were better ways for us ARMY to return the love that we continuously receive from RM and the rest of Bangtan but I guess the best we can do is try and make their music more accessible to others who might need it. I see people say how voting and streaming is not important and that's fine. But that's my little contribution I suppose. Good job to all the stays who voted against us in MAMA, you were a solid competition. If anyone read this far, thank you and I love you😄💜

Hehe, he's far from being from the streets. Persisting pain talks about his depression and anxiety, he has always been critic of himself, also not believing he's good enough, not loving himself. This is a persistent them that transverses to some BTS songs, but he explores solo from RM to mono till now. Criminal mind I guess he's potentially referring to 2 things: saying "f it all" and he knows he would let many people down, not disappointed but down in spirits and 2nd he has said in his lyrics many times that he sometimes feels as if he doesn't wake up anymore. He recently said in For Youth that he's moved from that, but still could be considered as a crime (in SK isn't) to think of his life as of no value, if we take into consideration his filial piety playing a role here. He adores his mother, he actually shared yesterday a screenshot of a text with her. So yeah, I think he means that at night, as we all do, he overthinks (hence the pain) and that leads him to consider nothing good ("criminal" if you wish).

I don't always get to see your reactions as soon as you drop them but I did manage to click on The Astronaut reaction first and was able to comment first! 😂😂 I wanted to drop this in for you and say thank you for all the musice that you react to. I am first and foremost an ARMY(OT7 with a Suga problem)since the end of 2016, but I am also considered a multi stan as I have quite a few groups that I follow hardcore. You do my STAY heart proud (Han is my Bias and Binnie is my wrecker) and my ATINY heart thanks you for the appreciation you've shown (San is my bias and Yeosang is my wrecker and Jongho is my other wrecker). The funniest part about these 2 groups is I discovered them through a couple of videos called Stray Kids being the biggest BTS fanboys and ATEEZ being the biggest BTS fanboys and just went down both of those rabbit holes. Here I am 3 years later from that and If I bought all the albums for all the groups I stan I would need at least 2 more book shelves to hold them all 😂😂😂 Teddy you nice keep going! Namjoon said that this album is not for everyone, but he really touched ARMYs hearts because its really personal and a part of his journey through his 20's. If you are gonna listen to his album, you have to listen from start to end to understand the meaning behind every song. Namjoon did say that he don't care about the album sales or charts, he just wanted to put this album together and release it for the ones who appreciate his music, lyrics etc. I really hope Stray Kids will win next year, even if I'm an ARMY and BTS is my number one, Stray Kids deserves to win because they work hard and put a lot of dedication toward their fans and music. Stays and ARMY will hold hands together, since day one, because Stray Kids look up to BTS and respect BTS, even Lee Know was a background dancer to BTS.. and BTS was so proud to see him on stage when they debuted. 'Persisting pain and criminal mind', I think he meant those bad thoughts of self-destruction... clues are in the MV itself, all the chaos that flies around in his mind and his challenges with his identity and fame. He's said before that being at the centre/eye of the hurricane, it's hard to find answers so the best he can do is ride it out and hope the answers are there when things are calm. I think those specks of fireworks during the chaos was his guiding light. Fireworks and flower works sound similar to each other in Korean. RM chose 'flower' instead of 'fire' because there's an end to light, the petals also resemble confetti at their concerts, which might be why the concert scene was added. After all the struggles of idenity, fame and glory, he'll continue to do music his way until his dying days (last scene of him resting in the flower field of purple wildflowers). RM has always been thought provoking... I feel like my life extends due to all the problem solving us fans do... lol If you're into rap, check out their Cypher 3 from the recent Busan concert! They went really hard and those lyrics hit different now that they've achieved so much more!

Idk the amount of hate in some of these comments are a lil strange to be. Neither of the groups esp the leaders preach about hate etc. But apart from that as humans who are learning and growing let's be open to opinions, to respect, to learning about new things and to accepting that we will never see things exactly the same way but once a person isn't doing something harmful that we should just leave them be. Honestly I was just excited to see more BTS content since they're my long time favorites, I've been army since 2014 and seeing skz content because I found skz around the same time as teddy started reacting to it. I hope the behaviors of both stays and armies in the comments don't prevent others from finding joy or solace in the music of both groups.

Ugh, I love RM to bits and I liked your reaction here, but the comments 🤦🏻‍♀️ Honestly, I think army often scare off new potential fans, the hate is just so unnecessary. A lot of the time how fans talk about RM makes him and his fans sound pretentious. If you’re even still interested in reacting to more from BTS I’d recommend (in no particular order): Intro:Boy Meets Evil (J-Hope) Baepsae (Silver Spoon) - I recommend the DKDKTV explanation just for cultural context Black Swan - I always recommend this one to artists, it’s not strictly rap, but other artists tend to love it and relate whether they’re singers, rappers, or dancers Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) Dis-ease Ddaeng - released for free on SoundCloud by rapline, I recommend the DKDKTV explanation for this one too to explain Korean idioms used A lot of others have already suggested the live performance of Outro:Tear which is great, and the cyphers which everyone always recommends to those that like rap. I think they feel dated and they’ve outgrown that mindset, at their most recent concert they said they wouldn’t be performing the cyphers anymore. I will say, toxicity in fandom can be found throughout k-pop, it is not unique to army, but it is definitely a problem. I love skz too, so even if you don’t watch more BTS I’ll keep watching… just realized I’m not subscribed even though I’ve watched quite a few of your videos, I’ll just fix that now 😅
