I've recently come to a different view of that actually. I used to think Tricheal was about X dying and BF ultimately becoming his vessel. But then it hit me. Even though the mod itself is called "Hit Single" each song is telling a continued story. Tricheal is the prequel to Joyous and Joyous is a song about X coming into the real world and kills his creator leaving him utterly boundless. Which means Tricheal wasn't about X dying and becoming BF's new suit wearer. He was shedding his coil in the fictional world and was ready to enter our world.

This song gives an incredibly cinematic view of Lord X. Concept of an evil, twisted being taking the form of a media icon and using it to torture an innocent, powerless soul is unironically quite a good idea for a horror story, whether it be a movie, game, or book. This is sorta random, but I've always loved the concept of why Lord X takes the form of Sonic the Hedgehog. It's not because he just so happened to stumble upon the game (well, kinda, but not exactly), or because he was related to the concept in some way, whether it be a developer or something like that. It's because he has an odd obsession with Sonic; it's nothing but a random liking. An extra-terrestrial horror who finds Sonic amusing; it turns Lord X into an weirdly childlike entity, which makes him all the more horrifying as he's basically a god. Being like a child insinuates a lack of maturity, and maturity is required to be logical, wise, even moral individual. A god lacking maturity is absolutely terrifying, because that insinuates that he can't control himself, and thus is familiar with childlike habits, like emotional immaturity or lack of logical morality. A twisted god that has an odd obsession with a media icon most definitely can become obsessed with a certain individual. A story revolving around a man who's toyed with by a literal god is so fascinating. The sheer terror of being helpless against an astronomically powerful entity isn't represented a lot. You see a lot of killers, some torturers, but not a lot of tormentors. I haven't seen a lot of horror icons that do everything purely for sick pleasure (mainly cause I don't watch a lot of horror, but I digress). "Tormentor" fits Lord X very well. Everything he does is "for fun". He toys with people. He doesn't try his hardest to "win", like get to the kill or enact an evil plan; he simply "has fun". He chooses a random piece of media, a random man, and has some fun with his new toy. Nothing is worse than a tormentor that will never let you go, much less one who is obsessed with you, almost to a childish sense. Amazing song with a very interesting theme. Love your work bro. I see a fantastic future with this talent. Also wish you a fulfilling life in general.

adore the gatekeepers motif at 2:50 gatekeepers was lord x’s “big song” in exe, a full display of his power (and the actual Gate Kepeur:tm:’s’s themself’ve) along with the light becoming red, obviously being a turning point in the Smoge where lord x starts to gain a far more seruous, calculated demeanor, i see this as him literally using his Godly Trickstery and Powers to literally shift the light around him to his will, once again displaying his power and arrogance to persist, and probably another intimidation tactic but he still cant help himself from tormenting Jouglas and playing around which is all very characteristic of this Assbag outdid yourself, cogratula adding on to this actually, with how transformative the 2:50 motif is in of itself, and the fact its only halfway through the song also shows that lord x was far more powerful than he was letting on in vs exe

I feel like this song takes place before Trichael. In a sense this is Lord X realizing his time is running then and thinks he can stop or have control of his time as X by killing his creator, Joe. But the god complex he goes through ends in him realizing his death is inevitable, at least as “Lord X”, the Sonic vessel. It’s coming to terms. This song representing denial or bargain while Trichael moves on. Him showing shoe Cycles, “remember this”, is his denial and bargaining almost. Like “LOOK AT THIS! THIS IS ME! This song is absolutely amazing in every right ever, and one of my fav parts about this is the visual changes starting from 2:52 The red lighting feels like it’s showing a more serious side to Lord X’s usually mischievous torment, then bringing up the Sonic background by the line “Remember…this?” as if the player character has probably already had traumatic encounters with him before. Of course Lord X still toys with him as shown by his laughing after finishing his lyric lines, but I think the change in environments goes to show how much he loves his form as this decayed, rotting flesh-bag that could barely be called Sonic, and as such, would be *joyous* to do anything to keep his body.

This looks great. But my only complaints is that there isn't any separate sheets for when Lord X laughs or even talks. This might be the perfectionist part of me talking. But that extra detail would've made an already solid looking mod even more impressive.
