Until maybe the 50s, steel guitar was seen as both a western music instrument as well as Hawaiian. It really gives Spongebob music that tropical feel.

I'm so glad solid steel guitar players still exist. I grew up listening to my dear ol' dad playing the steel guitar. He's passed a decade ago. Steel guitar music will always have a special place in my heart. 💞

Alex is the re-incarnation of what people now miss from a few decades back. We've got Country Classics and the fingernails on a chalk board Nashville Pop 'New Country'. Alex could be the face of a new sub-genre: Solid Country.

Brother, if you aren’t seen in this world as an American music treasure for what you’re sharing here well then, the world is blind and deaf too. Im a session drummer here in California and I’ve had the pleasure of working with some pretty amazing pedal steel players over the years out here so I’ve learned how challenging the instrument is as I fell in love with the sound first hand. Much appreciation and respect! 🎵🎶

I want to start on pedal steel but man, they’re expensive for a full setup like that! Would love to experiment with it through my Helix!
@AlexMillerCountry5 ай бұрын
I tell you what I would do. I would buy you a rouge 6 string lap steel and learn how to play some things with that guitar. And if you get good at that then consider pedal steel.

So what single neck steel guitar would you recommend ? Im looking to get one and am still very new to the instrument.
@AlexMillerCountry4 ай бұрын
If you’re new to the instrument don’t spend more than 150 bucks. My first steel was a rouge from Amazon 😂
@BeauPriest-fi5th4 ай бұрын
@@AlexMillerCountry ahh I gotcha lol I would like to get one that’s pretty decent? I’m a decent guitarist and I have a confident understanding of music in general and I’ve always been able to just pick up any instrument and play it without really taking lessons or watching videos. I have a good ear for stuff like that so I think I could get a decent one I just kinda don’t know what to buy. I’d like a pedal steel but there’s so many different ones with different setups so that’s more what I’m trying to understand.
