Wanted to show the hoist being used. Didn't want to wait another month.
Worked out because it turns out the batteries in the remote were dead, and I need to find another pin for the swivel!

This is awesome... What is that rubber cap from, what is it called. I just ordered this hoist and want to protect the ball bearings also. Searching around I'm not finding anything that looks like the one you are using.

Thanks for watching!! The black rubber cap actually comes with the hoist as part of the shipping packaging to protect the bearing and race I just grabbed a couple clamps to tighten it down when not using it.

A quick update... the unit I had delivered today, new from Cabela's, has no cap on the shaft/bearings for safe keeping...just a piece of thin foam wrap and a rubber band. If there was a cap it may have fallen out of the box as it was kinda beat up, or the company doesn't include that. Whatever, not a big deal.

@@euresko1 Aaarggh.. that stinks. I'm wondering if maybe HF or an automotive parts store would have a rubber cap they use to cover trailer bearings big enough to cover the bearing on there. They can't be more than a few bucks. Now I'm going to have to go looking - just for my own satisfaction. Haha

I contacted the company first, maybe they will send one. I thought it was a hardware store pipe cap, but so far haven't found one with that shape and size. It's not a big deal.

Thanks and same to you! I have to make a run to home cheapo and grab another pin (I don't think a rusty shishkabob stick is going to work in the field). I'll plumb some 10 or 12 gauge cables to the back with a quick connector to just plug right in. And maybe in the future, I'll weld some ears on the tip to keep the gambrel from twisting when it's all the way up, for dressing the deer.

Thanks for watching! In my humble and honest opinion: absolutely. I still have mine; and it is worth its weight in gold. Especially for a broken vet with a bad back, like me. Haha. Haven't had any issues with it thus far.
