Rooney must have hit puberty when he was about 7 tho he looked like a 40 year old at 20. I think it’s the same with his career. He was overplayed, played with bad injuries, wasn’t given a proper role (he was always moved about), heavily criticised by the media (rightly so and also unfairly), as well as not keeping as good a care of himself as Ronaldo has.

Tbh Rooney never looked after himself like Ronaldo. You can take into account injuries that play a part obviously, but Rooney off field wasn't remotely close to been as dedicated as C7 and its plain to see. Hell, Rooney was making tabloid headlines about been drunk and partying earlier this year, meanwhile C7 is constantly looking after and adapting his diet, training, and psychology. Fact is Ronaldo is in the top percentage of athletes of all time, let alone just footballers. He is an absolute freak.

If you asked Ronaldo, he would definitely have only one answer and that is Karim Benzema. The amount of assists and sacrifices Benzema provided to Ronaldo is just unreal. He used to create all the space for Ronaldo to shine and score. This is also what makes Benzema one of the most underrated strikers ever. He literally sacrificed his game to make Ronaldo shine. Despite that, he still managed to score more than 20+ goals every season!

This myth spread that Cristiano was keeping Benzema from scoring goals needs to be debunked. Benzema's best ever goal scoring season in La Liga to date was when he was playing alongside Ronaldo in 2015/16 with 24 goals in 27 games. Same with his best Champions League goal scoring record (7 goals in 2011/12), and in the Copa del Rey (5 goals in 2010/11). These are Benzema's best career numbers and he still hasnt surpassed them since CR7 left, in fact Ronaldo has provided him with around 30 assists in their time together, thats without mentioning the ones he missed bc his finishing wasnt the best for a long period of time.

When in truth Benzema's best numbers to date were alongside Cristiano. Of course with the main man leaving and Benz becoming the team's "target man" he will have more chances than before. But his record in their last couple years together got worse for many reasons, one was tactical with Zidane arriving and using the 4-4-2 diamond instead of the 4-3-3. And also bc in those seasons Benzema's form was very shaky and his finishing was terrible, anyone who regularly watched Madrid knows that and you can look up how bad his conversion rate was. The only reason he kept his place in the team back then was his chemistry with Cristiano and his work off the ball.
