one trick we can use here, please correct if I am wrong. if you are jumping from one company to another and you have to pay back the joining bonus to the previous company. consider amount 2L and you have already paid tax to which in the previous financial year but for this financial, you must be getting joining bonus from your new company say 3 L this time so when you file income tax you show 3 Lacks in 2 Lacks out applicable tax is only 1L I know this concept works with registered companies but I think this is possible with individual also consult with your CA

can someone please explain what is the scene of stocks of the company as bonus while joining ?

When you join some company they may offer you some stocks of there company and this is well included in CTC most of the times Point is you cannot encash those stocks right away let's say some company gives you shares worth 5 lacs but there must be some policy like you can only encash/claim 25% of shares after only 1 yr with company, or 50% after 2 yrs if you leave before that no shares will be given to you Time frame varies from company to company but mostly in 4-5 yrs you can claim 100% If you stayed with the same company
