Schwerer Gustav (English: Heavy Gustav) was a German 80-centimetre (31.5 in) railway gun. It was developed in the late 1930s by Krupp in Rügenwalde as siege artillery for the explicit purpose of destroying the main forts of the French Maginot Line, the strongest fortifications in existence at the time. The fully assembled gun weighed nearly 1,350 tonnes (1,490 short tons), and could fire shells weighing 7 t (7.7 short tons) to a range of 47 km (29 mi).[1]

The Germans actually made a bigger one it was mostly underground (forgot its name and how big it was) with multiple tunnels of explosives running along the side of the main barrel to propelle the ammunition to great distances. Though the area it was underneath had a large swastika which bombers can spot so they bombed it for fun, and it was on the day of the first test. Target London.

In war, neither side can be classified as entirely good or bad. Both sides possess elements of goodness and badness, and the extent of each depends on one's perspective. However, history often tends to present a biased view of events, as it tends to record the good deeds of the victors while erasing their bad ones. Conversely, history often portrays the losers as bad by highlighting their misdeeds while overlooking their good ones.

0:51, actually if the germans had attacked through Belgium, France would have won the second world war alone, or at least stopped the germans ... (because french generals sent all their best divisions to Belgium to stop the germans, thinking all of them were pushing their) The reason of the allied forces collapsing, is that a few determinated german panzerdivisions attacked through the holy Ardennes forest, and surrounded all the best units, from Belgium to Dunkirk :)

Hitler's Gun was made before the V-1 Flying Bomb and the V-2 Rocket. it was made to try to shoot down Britain from France and other countries because Britain at the time has a very strong air force and Germany would never be able to bomb them. Nazi Germany made the Schwerer Gustav and took it to France, however, it was so huge it required a crew as large as a crew for a Cruise Ship to move, and it moved pretty sluggishly that in the end the allies ended up destroying it in France because it ended up being a slow static target for bombs and guns. So yes, this video is kind of true, but in the same time kind of not true at all. Hitler didn't take apart the gun or try to use it to bomb the Soviets. Operation Barbarossa took care of that.

The Gustavo rail gun was the main reason the germans were able to move into France.Germany had put all its troops on the polish border and french border was barely filled in ,The French could have moved in but they were terrified of these guns and thought the germans had more and if they had stepped in Germany they would be decimated by the superior german artillery(The germans didn’t have better artillery). They also didn’t have better or equal in quality tanks they just did soviet tactics
