Yes but I'm not a big fan of the replayability. Feel like it becomes a chore to figure out how to kill your enemies with the available challenges. I prefer to play the levels once when everything is new and unscripted

IMHO: Rose-tinted glasses are strong, my friend. Play the entire reboot franchise in its entirety, H1- H3, and then try to say that BM was the best. Regarding the current trilogy: the AI is better, the level design is better, creativity is infinitely better, etc. The cash concept was cool in BM, but it didn't offer much after one or two campaign playthroughs.

For me there are 3 kings of Stealth genre Metal Gear Solid Hitman Splinter Cell 2 of these are pretty much dead now.....one has been reborn and is more alive than ever, Hitman is the true OG of stealth.

The fun fact is that. Metal Gear turn into a sandbox, a very popular genre, but as you said was killed by their studio. Splinter Cell has focused in cinematography, a popular style of narrative. And Hitman, the only of them that still alive invested in Immersive Sim elements, a genre that is almost dead.

I preferred Absolution over Hitman 2016 (didn't play Hitman 2) to be honest. The whole replayability loop is rather exhausting in the latter game due to how huge the levels are. I tend to restart a level when even the slightest things goes wrong, so it was a nightmare just finishing one level. The smaller Absolution maps made for a more tight and less frustrating experience, even if it went against the usual level design. The story and characters were much more interesting as well, especially the voice acting.

I remember the time back in 2002 when I used to be addicted to Hitman 2 Silent Assassin. This was a hell of a game! Then Contracts and Blood Money... I have not played the rebooted version of Hitman, but even if they are as half as good as they were back in time, I think it is worth it. Yeah, Hitman isn't that popular among people, but this is simply explained by the fact people DON'T like to think while playing a video game. Running and shooting, guns blazing - that's what gets the people going, sadly...

I was addicted to Silent Assassin back in 2002 and loved playing it daily. I even played through it as a straight shooter sometimes, and oozed unlocking all the hidden weapons. The only real disappointment here with the newer ones is that 47 is portrayed more as a good guy rather than as a morally ambiguous character. The newer games play as far more of a spy thriller like a Bourne film almost. Sometime I'd like it if they remastered Silent Assassin and Contracts.

I'm glad I finished the game before watching reviews. People seem split as to whether or not "Train level" is a spoiler, but I'm glad I let myself experience the surprise of it first. When the door opened and I realised I was on a train it was great.

I love how this series is consistent, like the band AC/DC - you get new things but your expectations are always met. I didn't hate absolution's flow, but am glad they swapped back to standalone sandbox levels. Finally - got to say I love this new Hitman 1/2/3/etc reboot...didn't feel like a reboot and each game feels like a full game instead of DLC. My one complaint is the flagrant DLC, however.

I LOVE this trilogy, but that train was a god-awful mistake. Takes away everything fun and interesting and replaces it with either shooting everyone, or following a single, linear stealth path. I really hope we get an expansion map (or two?) so we can close out the trilogy on a higher note.

Some poor filler missions but if they took each location and made an open world out of them like the new games it would blow my mind.

I Have So Much Love For Hitman! especially Over the past few years! But Honestly.... I expected more from hitman 3. All The time they had.. and It was copied and pasted exactly from Hitman 2!! Its crazy how nothing really new was added to the game other than the locations! I know how many hours you can spend and play on just one map alone! But the last send off for this trilogy was kinda disappointing... I absolutely loved hitman 2. But it just felt like we just got new locations for £50..

There is a reason why this game isn't selling that well. It is just like the last two games are - flashy areas, wannabe hot shot wealthy people, too much about looking commercialized, just like the first two are. I still think that Absolution is the best Hitman game, not too much about being shallow or being flashy like this new generation of games are. These newer games are good, it is just that for myself, the backgrounds are too much about flash.
