Yes, depending on the difficulty you were able to save at any point. Some of the harder difficulties of the last one prevented you from saving multiple times or only allowed you to save once per level.

Adam Sessler is a great video game review. I never really trust video game reviews because everyone has their different tastes and preferences, but Adam finds a way to make his review unbiased and point out the parts that everyone really wants to know than pointing out the obvious.

what Really stands out of absolution is its noir style impressive visuals. I don't know how they manage to make it work (nicely) on a 360. It was enjoyable to play and even if is not as "sandbox" as the others..the levels are big, and offer an incredible variety for players. Big replay. Dialogues are excellent (some of the best on NPC's)...the plot is a bit predictable.

Welcome back Adam! Really nice to see you again. Quick Question; I've heard that you can play the PC version of the game with the wired xbox360 controller, but does anyone know if you can use the wireless 360 controller with the receiver adapter? I've heard it "should" work, but have yet to hear a definitive answer.

I recall reading that some of the difficulty levels do away with checkpoint saves entirely, so it isn't a "problem" on some of the difficulties, though you might consider complete lack of checkpoints a problem

the save points being far away is not a game breaker because each level is designed to be a playground and manageable. The instinct feature is a little too realistic in my opinion, it should have been made so that instinct is used to conserve id if you do something suspicious not when you are just walking around enemies.
@aLmAnZio11 жыл бұрын
I'd like to encourage you to play it. Blood money is open, you do every hit on the same map, and you inphil and exphil on the same map. You have a map, and can plan. You only need to sneak when appropriate, and disquises work as long as the body isn't found or you act weirdly. In other words, you can look around the map, make notes, make plans and no one will bother you. Then you make your hit. Check out walkthroughs of some levels, you'll see what I mean. Thank you for being cincere and polite

I found Rev3 because I discovered Sess was joining them and I have definitely found a new source for video game news/reviews content. I also loved Adam's review even though I have no experience with the Hitman series. It seems to be "sticking to its guns" as is said, as supposed to Splinter Cell which seems to be moving towards more action less stealth, sadly. I also really enjoy the background music behind many of Rev3 videos.

My biggest gripe with the game was the enemy detection. THey can detect you from way too far away. In the old Hitman, you could walk right passed them with the right disguise and distance. I think a programmer forgot to turn down the "seeYou" float variable.

They were pretty damn huge though, many levels that initially seem like straight linear paths like the fight with sanchez or the bar fight or the one where you need to get your guns turn out to be these massive levels with possibilities of completing your task in the double digits, Like i wonder how many people even realized with the sanchez fight you dont even need to get in the wrestler costume and fight him, you can go throguhna vent and do things such as drop the balcony on him or c4 him

if you are talking about on higher difficulties then they just released a patch to make disguises more effective on Hard , expert & purist . disguises work great on normal & easy , you just have to think before you pick a disguise because people doing the same Job recognize each other so get suspicious at the new face , so you need to try & get a disguise that not many people wear & then you can walk around easier .
@justaguy60012 жыл бұрын

6. I can feel like a Hitman for whatever reason I want. My favorite parts of the games (both BM and Absolution) came from performing a plan perfectly and changing back into 47's iconic suit. It made it feel like a plan really came together. So yeah...It did make me feel like a professional Hitman. Continuing
@bveracka11 жыл бұрын
This game is under-rated because of its linear design as opposed to the more popular open world/sandbox Hitman from the last game. Aside from being a real change from the previous games, this is a REALLY FUN GAME with INSANE REPLAY VALUE!!! I thought the story was pretty decent, and the gameplay trumps any of those follies. What makes stealth satisfying are those moments of tension, and Absolution has shit-tons of them. As Sessler says, the game is also huge; full of challenges, trophes, and gameplay tweaks for the hardcore gamers. It also looks amazing even on the [now] last-gen consoles.
@IngenFiles11 жыл бұрын
As a huge fan of the Hitman franchise, I didn't like this game and I don't think it's underrated. It has its moments of genius and the gameplay is vastly improved, but to me it had hardly any replay value. The game felt very isolated and straightforward when compared to Blood Money and the decision to place the story at the game's forefront was a mistake in my opinion as I thought the story was very weak. Also, a lot of the characters were too over-the-top and over-sexualized which felt very out of place. The most standout moments to me were those that involved Victoria and that's about it. It never really felt like a Hitman game to me. Regardless, that's just my opinion. There's nothing wrong with liking the game as it's all subjective. However, from everything I've heard about Hitman 6, it seems to be more reminiscent of Blood Money and I can't wait to see more on it!
@bveracka10 жыл бұрын
I agree with what you said there, more than less. The story is weak, very very weak. I guess I have a special kind of love for Absolution because it was one of the first games that got me back on the video game train. For a while I was out of the loop and then I picked-up Absolution and AC3 for PS3 and Absolution became a favorite.
@kpernod3010 жыл бұрын
IngenFiles This game actually has A LOT of replay value. There are sometimes as many as 20-25 different ways to take out a target in order to complete a challenge. For instance, I bet I took out the King of Chinatown 15 times, each in a different manner.
@bveracka9 жыл бұрын
kpernod30 Replaying the "King of Chinatown" mission in Absolution is an excellent example of how *the game has a great replay value*, and how it allows for different play-styles. Just in that ONE level, there are no less than 5 or 6 totally different ways to kill your target; get him killed by another person, an accidental death, or poison him with a rare fish you steal from the fish market near his apartment, *you can even take out your target by poisoning his cocaine..LOL!* Of course, the regular ol' garrote or silenced pistol will get the job done too. Of course, you can also just raise hell and kill everyone in sight but it wont award you many points. On that note: I *love* how you get points taken away for killing non-targets. It makes the game even more fun (Dishonored had a similar grading/points system I believe). IMO Absolution is one of the most under-rated games of the last generation. It's so realistic and immersive; it truly makes you *feel* like Agent 47! I loved it so much I bought the official guidebook...heh! Absolution and *Splinter Cell: Blacklist* were both very under-rated and overlooked by many. They're both excellent games, and possibly the best stealth/3rd person action games of the last gen.

Hey Adam, this is available on PC so it's already on next-gen hardware. If rumours are true, the next gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft don't look to be more powerful than current mid-range gaming PCs (say an i5 with GTX 660 or Radeon 7850.)
