Except that he didn’t put it there, it was put there by the people that made him. Agent 47 was created on September 5, 1964, in Ort-Meyer's asylum in Romania. He had the numbers "640509-040147" tattooed on the back of his head ("64-05-09" is the date of creation, "04" marks he is part of Series IV, "01" marks that he is the first, and "47" is to represent that he is the 47th), followed several years later by a Universal Product Code. Dr. Ort-Meyer saw 47 as his first genetically complete success and gave him slightly more attention, even though he had other specimens to consider.

Olyphant is such a great actor, and i wish this film was closer to the games, sure, but even though he doesn’t have Bateson’s voice, he looks, and moves JUST LIKE 47. I would love a sequel to this. Most of what they changed doesn’t even bother me. The idea of training kids instead of clones was annoying when i really got into the games and rewatching the film, but by and large this film still holds up. I don’t even hate the remake, but it pails in comparison. Get rid of the mention of cloning and seeing Agent 48 at the end, the remake is shit. A mixture of the two would make the perfect film. I almost want them to try again, but have the fans choose everything. Like i would have Bateson as an aged 47, someone like Gemma Arterton as Diana, and hire the guys from 87Eleven to do the action. Make it more of a spy film rather than an action film. Like an espionage thriller with some action sequences and BAM we have a movie. The lack of action would even help Bateson who is 61 at the time of me writing this on 3/21/21. Or hell get someone like Derek Mears who’s mainly a stuntman to do it he’s normal looking, but has a terrifying screen presence that’s intimidating af

We got a way to cuff people that are genuinely thought to be too agile with their hands. You take one arm, put it under the crotch, and the other hand in his back joining the crutch.
