so proud of you for creating this life for yourself. sometimes no one knows the violence and pain it took to be this calm! do you have any words on dealing with really deep toxic shame. I feel like the shame I feel about myself controls every aspect of my life

Hi! I just wanted to chime in and tell you I relate to what you are saying! Thanks for sharing and allowing yourself to be really vulnerable here. I know I'm not the person you are seeking an answer from, but have you seen Hitomi's most recent video for meditation? She quotes Ram Dass about letting go of things. And she talks about letting things go because you know better. Like letting go of greed because I know I have everything I need, etc. That has helped me, when shameful intrusive thoughts appear in my mind I practice merely observing them trying not to cling to them or agree with them. And when I take notice, I tell myself, I'm letting this go because .... Fill in the blank with your ultimate truth. Maybe that could be of help to you too? Something I've learned is, You are not your thoughts. And even shameful thoughts do not define you, each moment is a new opportunity. I'm proud of you for your courage to look deep within and face and be so real and honest with something that can feel hard to look at or deal with. I hope the best for you and that you find the answers that help you gain access to the outcome you seek ! ❤️

@@tabituhrubbuhz4766 your comment really touched me thank you so much you are so kind! I definitely am becoming more aware of my shameful thoughts and questioning what is being triggered here. I love the idea of telling myself i'm letting this idea go because... !! a tool I definitely want to try out, thank you again, I wish all the love and healing in the world to you🙏🙏💕

hi renée, shame is a powerful coping mechanism for deeply neglected needs when you were a child. first step is to know that. to really understand that, which is incredibly hard when you feel overwhelming shame. i think the next step is to observe and become aware,what you seem to already have done🙏 maybe write down the moments you feel shame and your thoughts. its powerful to give your thoughts away to a blank page. observe like crazy, you will observe that you are probably currently judging yourself. write down what you say to yourself. also learn to cry, if you surpress feeling. crying is letting go. learn to not judge and let the tears flow. try a mantra. mine for a long time was: my worth has nothing to do with how other people behave. so whenever i felt guilty, i would repeat the mantra in my head constantly. i had a huge people pleasing problem. there is s program i use: to be magnetic by lacy phillips, which i believe is the best out there. but(!): you should only do that if you are somewhat stable because ur doin it on your own. so therapy as a start might be helpful to learn coping strategies. biggest tip: be patient and compassionate with yourself❤ unlearning deepy integrated coping mechanisms take a long time to unlearn. but always know that *you* got this. *you* are your best friend, be your own cheerleader! dont talk you down and if you do,show compassion. the biggest thing with shame is that you probably dislike yourself and are afraid of being loved so learning to love yourself is hugely important. stay with it. it is so worth it adressing the shame and learning. it will first get worse uncovering many things but trust this process. keep at it,hug yourself,have mini rituals with yourself❤
@Mabes07
@Mabes07 Жыл бұрын
To combat deep shame, you have to have just as deep of compassion and love. Forgive those parts of yourself and know that they too deserve love from you. Visualizing yourself as a child also helps- it’s a reminder that many dark parts of ourselves have manifested or been conditioned in us as a form of trauma response or doing what we needed to do in order to feel safe Listen to “Radical Compassion” by Tara Brach as well. Sending you reiki and love ❤

In my opinion, Hitomi is ´one of the great teacher’…I mean some of her words, similar to Ram Dass, Alan Wats, Esther Perel, etc… have resonated so deep with my soul. Being a KZbinr and/or a female may fool some into preconceived idea, but her spirituality shines beyond. I’m so admirative of her ability to spread light and stay true despite thriving on a social media/money driven platform. Sending love 💛
