Anyone else just get so emotional when she was discussing her dreams of assault? Most people in my life don’t remember their dreams so hearing another woman talk about it was so surprising yet unexpected in such a uniquely heartbreaking way
@StephanieTear
@StephanieTear 2 жыл бұрын
I have these dreams TOO OFTEN! Especially when collective shifts are happening or anything intense in the collective. People need to discuss this more. It's equally traumatizing as the real experience
@cherierose356

@@StephanieTear I didn’t realise how common it was! I was carrying so much guilt and shame around it
@jasmineflower2415
@jasmineflower2415 Жыл бұрын
@@StephanieTear I'm sorry, but a dream about being assaulted is not equally as traumatising as the real experience of being assaulted. You cannot develop PTSD from having a dream. People often relive their existing trauma within dreams which is extremely distressing, but the general experience and impact of a dream of a traumatic event and an actual traumatic event is not comparable. I have had people claim to understand my trauma because they had a dream about the same thing and that is just a genuinely offensive thing to say

Hitomi you've inspired me to start ceramics and now I'm making it my main artistic medium in my business! I've fallen completely in love with hand building! It's so meditative, exactly what I've been searching for in creating art. I have yet to fire my first pieces but being a ceramic artist is truly what I want to do so I really can't thank you enough 🌹 my first collection is coming out before the holidays and I can't wait 🧡🧡🧡

I’m really looking forward to hearing your reflections on this and processing these emotions together! The constant process of moving has been so repeatedly disruptive in my life, and sometimes I feel like I can never fully be grounded or the highest version of myself without throwing down roots 😫 …takeaway: you are so disciplined with your emotions!! not interpreting any emotion you feel as positive or negative - accepting yourself in so many ways…I love it! 💗

Thank you so much for sharing. When those types of dreams happen to me I just write everything that happened in the dream down. I know it's hard because its so powerful but I find by writing it it gives me power over those thoughts and they slowly go away. I also speak about it with my therapist and boyfriend and it helps to remind me that not all men are like that. I was in such a horrible situation but I am safe now. Anyways that's my take have a lovely day angel:)

I totally feel you on being confused of when to feel fear around strangers (mostly male in my experience also) and when to know if my anxiety is taking the wheel in my brain. something that helps me is to just take a few deep breaths and surrender to the universe/divine and their protective and calming energy and try not to feed into more fear or into an energy i don't want held in my body's space.

What might help with frightening dreams is lucid dreaming. My therapist teached me how to because it not only allows you to take control while dreaming but it can also help with anxiety in general. This does not solve the problem of assault in general, of course. But for me it gave me the space to heal and not beeing stuck within my anxiety. It was a lifesaver for me so I thought it is worth sharing even though it might not be for everyone. Sending love to everyone healing 🧡

It’s so odd we feel embarrassed for moving around a lot, but it sort of makes sense because sedentary people often question us in a manner that comes off as judgmental, though I think it’s just inquisitive because we’re taking so many risks in keeping our lives moving and constantly inviting new experiences in. I’ve settled into a comfortability with moving around a lot. Because while I’ve lived in other states and now in this season I have to be home in alabama, I know I won’t be here for the rest of my life-and that gives me peace.
