I'm pretty sure those are just some branching multiverse's Doc Ock, it's just played by Alfred Molina (hence why different cloack and hairstyle). The same with potential Dafoe's Green Goblin, Electro, and Tobey's and Garfield's Spidey. Spider-Man 1: Responsibility. - Take responsibility for your mistakes. Spider-Man 2: Choice. - Choose to do what is right, even if it means sacrificing something for the sake of your destiny. Spider-Man 3: Forgiveness. - Forgive people for their mistakes. Revenge is never the answer. This is Peter's arc through all 3 films and it is so beautiful. All 3 movies have crucial moral lessons that were imprinted on children and adults worldwide, moving them to their cores, leaving them with some sort of lesson to implant into their own lives. Raimi didn't just make these movies for the sake of making them, like Jon Watts, he made them vessels to a greater lesson, a greater meaning, an immortal existence. These movies embody the classic Judeo-Christian values we are taught as children. That is where this trilogy excels and manages to stand out so brightly against the rest, the new movies are sterile they have no gravitas, emotion, weight, maturity, and lesson. Whenever I think of these movies, I am moved. I tear up and think of the messages they send, the characters in the film that embody us, the humans that are impacted, the journey, and the conclusion of these stories, and the future that lies ahead for them. A big part of this is Danny Elfman and Christopher Young's music, it is so fucking beautiful and it is enhanced by Raimi's direction. If a movie can make you cry nearly two decades later, that's not nostalgia, that's called a good movie.

Also: the Uncle Ben scene encompasses what makes Spider-Man a great character. Whereas the Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland (mostly Holland) are basically just selfish and only care about themselves. One of the best details I love that’s always overlooked is when Harry finds out that Spider-Man is Peter, he accuses peter of murdering his father. Rather than explain that his father was the green goblin and that he tried to kill peter and killed himself by accident, he chose to respect Norman’s wishes and kept those details to himself, at the cost of ruining his relationship with Harry. That level of development and maturity just goes to show how Peter as a character has evolved into one of the best in cinematic history. Sam Raimi was way ahead of his time and is one of the best directors of all time.

There was a point in life where I was in my worst shape. Epileptic (since 10), had a severe case of anxiety, girl troubles, struggling in college, couldn't get a job, worried too much about not being able to help people as often as I used to (volunteering is a passion of mine), barely see my friends who are all so busy or moving away, and 20 years old losing track of myself and what I wanted in life. One day I sat down and watched this movie after so many years. I was shocked at how relatable this movie is, how entertaining, and how much simplicity it holds to bring out character (only other favorite film with that much is Rocky 2). My stress was mostly gone, I had motivation, I hugged my family, and took time to relax to establish myself so I can be something. As of currently I have a job, epilepsy is stable, see some of my friends often, most of my stress is gone, I volunteer at a hospital every Friday, and I'm looking forward to going to college to improve on my good finish (I'm living my life for me and helping people, but if romance comes along the way I'd gladly embrace it). I'm beyond happy Spider-Man 2 is a role for helping me with all of this so I can gain a sense of self-awareness and peace. If you haven't seen this movie yet, please pick it up (same with Rocky and Rocky 2).

I feel like one of the main reasons Raimi Spiderman is so great is because he perfectly captures the sense of responsibility that defines Peter as a character. Far From Home kind of tries to do something similar to Spiderman 2 with Peter wanting to be a normal person but his hero life calls to him. But the difference is that Raimi Spiderman always made a choice, like when he chose to help that kid out of the burning building, or when he chose to reject MJ at the coffee shop. But MCU Spiderman feels nudged into it, if he had his way then he would've just let Fury & Mysterio fight off the elementals while he chills out with MJ, he literally had to get forced into acting like a hero. Peter feels like a regular dude at the end of the day in the Raimi movies (except for Spiderman 3, his normal life is pretty wild in that movie). Sure he had spider powers & fought criminals, but through all that he was just a guy working a crappy job to pay the rent for his shitty apartment & barely making his way through college. TASM Peter kind of had that with his dynamic with Aunt May, but most of the time he just felt too cool, even as Peter. MCU Peter feels the least regular out of all of them, I know he's in the MCU and all that but that doesn't mean the entire Marvel Universe needs to revolve around him, the only sense of normalcy about him is that he's a high schooler who likes a girl...that's pretty much it. I prefer a Spiderman who has to sow his suit back together after a hard night while hiding from Aunt May, knowing that he had to miss out on school work or socialising. Over a Spiderman who borrows a billionaire's lab to design his own custom made suit with holograms while his Aunt cheers him on, his friends don't care how many times he ditches them, and his school just ignore his antics.

GamerThief XP The MCU is good, but I honestly think that most (not every) Phase 3 movies are kinda bland, unoriginal, and feel kinda the same. I‘m one of those people who prefer Phase 1 over Phase 3. and yeah I know about the Sony deal. Sony has to screw up Spider-Man once again.

I just realized something. During the scene at the party for Jameson’s son, Peter tries multiple times to grab food or a drink from the people carrying trays, and he’s never able to even touch one before others take them. Then after his conversation with MJ, he’s finally able to get a drink from one of the waiters, but the glass is empty. It seems to be played for laughs but when you really look at it, it just shows how much bad luck Peter has. He can’t keep a job, can’t pay his bills, can’t maintain healthy relationships, and now he can’t even get a damn drink

NO matter how many times i watch the trilogy i get goosebumps EVERYTIME when the music plays and spider man swings. I tear up whenever Peter gets the short end of the stick and it always warms my heart whenever there are scenes of aunt may being the best aunt may ever. This is THE SPIDER MAN. No one can top this. Especially in a day and age when a movie is made just to set up another movie and a movie is made to satisfy the folks who liked the trailer. Unless a director is given true creative freedom to tell his own interpretation of spider man without any studio meddling etc. we can never get a spider man who can beat Raimi spidey.

@@scoposteve8470 You literally stated no fucking reason why would SP2 be a bad movie. You can remove fight scenes from Remi's first and second movie, and actually watch a proper family with good story and plot. Try to remember non-fight scenes recent reboots … Wait … I can't really remember anything outside 21-24 years old kid acting like a incompetent ultra virgin simp, frantically running around school halls, class tours and visits on holidays, sleepovers over fat and useless sidekick that has no point in plot, boring dialogues where main char is being told to what to do by Iron man and bootleg Jarvis...
