As always, great video. I especially appreciate your comments about the grooves and the shot from the rough - it explains a lot. Question: how to forearms and shoulder alignment affect these shots.

The more your feet, knees, hips, forearms, shoulders are parallel to the starting line, the greater the chance of hitting your shot

Great video, visualisation is key as you remind us and each shot is challenge and opportunity

Great video, especially the cautionary comments about trying to draw a ball out of the rough. I was a little surprised you didn't try to get really vertical on your hybrid backswing to lessen the grass issue. Any thoughts on that?

More vertical swing will encourage the ball to go right as you hit down on the ball

Using hybrids or fairway woods from the ground is quite possibly the weakest part of my game, however I am keen to use them on 2nd shots because of the distance they can deliver (if hit properly). My main takeaway from that lesson is to not try to use them if I am in the rough (unless the ball is 'teed up') as I am even more unlikely to hit the shot correctly.

Out of the rough, take as much loft as possible. A lofted hybrid or a 7 wood may be a good option if the lie is good enough

David, i have been trying to get my shots to draw and fade on the driving range, Question: will the range balls be ok to use to get the right result, as you said the ball makes a difference to the shape of shot.
@TheResourcefulCoach11 күн бұрын
Depends on the quality of the range ball, if it’s a very hard cover it will be hard to shape
